I'm of the opinion that the Sullustan already is...
"Why is the trailer in huttese?"
I am having a significantly difficult time breathing.
The new pilots:
Ello Asty
Snap Wexley
Jessika Pava
Nein Numb
I really, really hope Nein gets a T-70 card. After reading the "Journey to TFA" Leia adventure book, he is in need of being more than just Lando's co-pilot.
What's the chances they are called red ace and blue ace?

I feel like that book already made him much more than Lando's copilot. But I know what you mean and I agree with you. He has a way different personality than I imagined, but it's easy to see how he and Lando get along so well. Fun guy.

He is also featured in the Shattered Empire comic coming to help Leia. They are really expanding on their friendship before TFA.
Has Nein ever been depicted as piloting a starfighter and not a freighter?
Has Nein ever been depicted as piloting a starfighter and not a freighter?
How does this matter? The movie (and literature) where he may be piloting, and it may not be him, has already displaced any legends fiction that could have it.
Therefore, even if he *didn't* fly a fighter in the past, doesn't mean he can't in the future.

Well we do see him in one of the TFA trailers as flying a fighter. So the answer is yes.

*Nien
His sister was an X-wing pilot in Rogue Squadron and at least the old EU had Sullustans wearing the "pilot race" hat, so I don't see why a fighter's much of a stretch. Luke had zero fighter experience prior to the Battle of Yavin, after all...
How can you tell that's Nien Nunb and not Ten Numb? (The latter who happens to be known as a starfighter pilot previously in canon)
And what's the expected life span of a Sullustan, anyway? If Nien or Ten were as old as Lando, wouldn't they be getting up there for the purpose of starfighter pilot? Maybe it's an old veteran.
I just don't understand why everyone who sees this Sullustan assumes it is Nien when I've seen nothing that really leads to believe it's him except that he looks like the only Sullustans we've seen in the films and sounds like the only one we've heard in the films (although there was also one in TCW).
EDIT: Okay, played by the same guy. That makes it seem more likely but still too old, more than likely.
Edited by IxidorI was hoping that the other ace pilot from the T-70 expansion had leaked out. ![]()

Because Nien has been featured in journey to the force awakens literature.
Interesting the Nien Numb in Return of the Jedi was a puppet, not someone in a suit.
Nien is getting a big push storywise these days - it seems he was one of those characters whose voice actor agreed to return to the movie - I'd prefer if him in his own ship - the Mellcrawler (II) however.
I can totally see him as the kind of pilot who reports to work in his pimped out space yacht with lots of bling and under carriage lights, pumping out phat beats - then with a coffee mug in one hand, he walks to his T-70 and takes off in style.

Technically untrue. The T-16's controls were nearly identical or at least extremely similar to an X-Wing's. Hell even the T-47 has similar-to-X-Wing controls.
Incom keeps it nice and simple, it seems.

He was 'the best bush pilot in the outer rim' but I think Greatmazinkaizer means he had never actually been in a fighter, whilst being shot at by other fighters.

Well since Ace and Leader are indispensable all of them are in the game. It is a shame we didn't get these names in the core set and expansion packs instead. Speaking of the new core set, what about the TIE/FO pilots? Don't they have a call-sign if we don't have names for them? ![]()

Try the new Incom T-16, T-47, T-65, and T-70 models: the iHopper, iSpeeder, iX-Wing, and iX-Wing S! With a smooth, intuitive interface consistent across all models, even an Outer Rim rookie can easily get down to business in moments.
Incom Corp.: The only thing that's changed is everything.

Two reasons.
A) As previously mentioned, it's the same actor and
B) Awkward, but
during Ten Numb's appearance in the Rogue Squadron comic book, he dies. So probably not him.
