Why do the expansions come with objective tokens? When do you need more than you get in the core set?

I'm not sure how many objective tokens come with the core set.

But for Opening Salvo you need one per ship, and you can have up to 9 CR-90b's or 8 Raider I's in a list. So you'd need at least 9 objective tokens.

Basically this. FFG doesn't like to let space go to waste, but for some reason they're reluctant to just print more number tokens.

That being said, fighter-heavy lists can rack up absurd quantitites of VPs in superior positions, so victory tokens at least make sense.
