2 lists I have been tinkering with because i dont really want to go bro bot at the next store tournament. What do people like?

Your second list is much stronger by principle alone. Making Bossk a point sink when he has no durability options is a bad choice, and calculation on Cobra isn't worth it. You'd be much better off swapping that out for Crack Shot on TBC.

I like the first list, but maybe I'm just an anti-TLT hipster. I would alter the first list a little. I prefer K4 Security Droid over Outlaw Tech and I think you should just choose one or the other. If you want to keep Outlaw Tech that's fine too. Truth is, I haven't flown my YV-666 yet, so take what I say with a grain of salt. The nice thing about Outlaw Tech is that you can trigger Calculation when you otherwise wouldn't have an action.

With the points you get from removing one crew, I'd drop Calculation from Talonbane and give him Predator. Engine Upgrade is nice and all, but you'll be wishing you could modify dice after you boost. You could also try Push the Limit. The greens aren't too bad, even though you can't turn, but you can still boost to get that 90 degree rotation after clearing stress. And on turns when you don't boost, you can get Target Lock and Focus repeatedly instead of relying on a one-shot Crack Shot + Glitterstim. At that point, though, I might drop Glitterstim to shave some points off Talonbane. Then either upgrade the Z-95s or give one of them Feedback Array (I love that card).

I like list 2, but replace Kath with the following:

PS8 with a 1 point bid helps you to catch Miranda. Good dial and action economy. The gunner effect never hurts.

Awesome! I'll have to try that list when I try my YV-666.

I prefer list 2 as well. In my (still limited) experience with the YV-666, it can melt very quickly to focused fire.

I have a feeling that when the tie swarm comes back he will feel the pain

I think they're both good choices. I'd probably go with Engine Upgrade, though. I wouldn't take Engine Upgrade if you didn't have another source of actions, but with K4 and Push the Limit, boosting shouldn't be an issue.

From this list today I had a 50% outcome. the TLT just dont do enough damage against some enemies, kath needs to deal the damage.

Was Kath usually the first target for your opponents or did they gun for the Y-wings?

I prefer my Kath to have Predator over PTL, but thats just me.

I had great success recently with the calculation/recon specialist synchronicity. In rounds where I got to range one I was throwing out 4-5 damage with bossk. Talonbane with engine upgrade and predator or lone wolf is another potential large damage dealer.

Also, unhinged astromech on a y-wing is love.

Fact is, if your concentrating on the ys then Kath is coming up the rear.

I'm scrapping the Ys for now, I'm going to be trying out 2 pirates, with a 3rd ship. And then trying a dual firespray build could be a possible thing but with the way tournament rules are, I think investing in aces could be the way forward.

As for Bossk... I think he will be better with some of the new upgrades in wave 8 but at the moment I tend to run him cheap as he can be pummeled fast, he's in between a firespray and a decimator in my opinion, maybe I just need more play time with him

I'm going to start a mini blog as I have a club tournament over a few weeks and then a store and regional a few weeks after that has finished.
