Hello, everyone, I'm Jim and I've started my own podcast about Armada. Every episode I'm going to talk about current events, talk about tactics, ships, and everything else about this great game, and it always starts out with a section I like to call Admiral Ackbar's Armada Advice.

It's currently available via iTunes and RSS, and in the coming weeks it should be up on Stitcher and eventually Google Play (whenever that launches).

The audio quality is good and your delivery was on point.

The direct and concise commentary on the topics covered is appreciated and came across as very polished. I like this style of presentation.

The AAAA segment was funny. I want to hear what you come up with on these in future episodes.

I’m very much looking forward to your analysis of specific ships/squads/upgrades/tactics, etc.

I do have one big complaint about the show. It was too short!

Anyway, very promising first episode IMO. I hope you do a lot more of these.

I thought that was a great primee for new players. Well produced show, sound advice. Looking forward to future shows.

Enjoyed the show! TRCRs are incredibly powerful as you say, and I too, avoid ion-powered CR90s because the crits are never there when you need them. One thing though - I don't think Enhanced armaments are worth the cost on a CR90. It's nice, but not 10-points-on-a-4-hull-ship nice.

I wouldn't get caught up in that price percentage. In wave 1 an EA flanking corvette surpised more than one of my opponents. Nowadays though, I can't see taking it over the far more efficient TRC.

I mostly agree! I don't like piling upgrades on a ship that's really points efficient on its own, and even the TRCR is pricey for my taste, but if you're going to do it, they're both good upgrades depending on what your playstyle is and what role the CR90 plays in your list.

Finished the ep, great job. I would recommend anyone getting into the game give your podcast a listen, because you do a great job marrying basic information about the units with advanced strategy.

The only thing, and this is nit-picky, is you mention using EA and TRC on the same CR90. Which would not be legal, as they are both Turbolaser upgrades.

You're absolutely right, and I have no idea how that got in there. I'll have to edit it out at some point so I don't sound as stupid.
