Just talk with my FLGS and they have not heard of it yet. Are they going to do the same thing as they did with the Core Set and give it to major retailers first?
The only major retailer that carries expansions is Barnes and Noble, as far as I am aware. Target will not be getting these.

Honestly, I'd be surprised. I feel like Target can move a Core Set a lot more easily than an expansion pack- the expansion can be stolen more easily.

That has to be almost a given, if they are going to hit their (likely) 12/18 target date for getting them into stores.
The idea of owning an odd number of Tie's makes my brain itch...I still can't decide how many of these expansions I'm going to get. Probably 2 Tie/FO's for a nice even four. I'm confident Juke will show up again in wave 9 somewhere.
2 T-70's seems like a minimum to have a couple copies of the Targetting Astro and Integrated Astromech. I'd buy three but I'm expecting a black and orange version sometime...

I like the new ships, but I want to see that the "classic line" keeps being dominant. at least in my collection.
also many new other ships to get soon, so.. gotta cut down somewhere.
As every good Moff knows ties of all varieties should always be deployed in trios, thus giving you an equal possibility of having an odd or an even number of Ties at any one time.

StarViper, K-Wing, and TIE Punisher are all $20 blisters, no? Each of those has had a double - Autothrusters, TLT, TIE Mk.II.
The Starviper had two autothruster cards, but yes, space is limited and that is rare.
Only 1 copy of IA is included. No $15 blister has had multiples and the preview image clearly shows only one copy in the spread.
I couldn't wait to own a second... bought a second TFA Core when they went on mega sale. Looking forward to getting new pilots! Flying 3 or 4 of these should be fun.One of each to start, probably get a second of each sooner than later as in, the moment I bring 1 more T-70 home and have a pair instead of a trio...
I'm just hopping it comes with more than just 1 integrated Astromech mod. I'm already upset that TFA Core only came with one copy of Wired and only 1 of each new Tech card!!

It is funny that these two would be sold both separately and before the wave they were announced to be a part of. It is almost to the point I won't consider them part of Wave 8 but instead their own special Force Awakens release. Wave 8 will be the Ghost, TIE Inquisitor, Jumpmaster and the G1-A.

I don't think they get another preview. We have seen all but a few cards. They might get a "now available" article but there isn't much left to preview.

Then the New Core Set showed up, kind of out of the blue (though lots of people were expecting it.)
Then they tacked the T-70 and TIE/fo expansions on to the end of Wave 8.
I'm sure they HOPED the rest of 8 would come in time to all be together, but I expect there's a mouse driving that Force Awakens sled and it's always been kind of it's own thing.
I'm glad I got my Wave 8 pre-order in before I knew I had to budget for extra ships. I've got the FA expansions coming, too, but they're on a separate order so they won't hold anything up.
I'm happy, or rather my wallet is happy, TL have the, arrive separately. Doesn't bother me which order so having TFA stuff first is fine with me. Let's me get the actual wave 8 stuff sooner after it arrives than I would if they all landed together.

I'm with you on this. Spread the love out. We're expecting A LOT of new ships. Getting them all at once doesn't give me the time to enjoy each one on its own.

I'm sure Disney is putting harsh demands on FFG to have this out on time and it has nothing to do with FFG wanting product on shelves to sell when excitement for the film is at its zenith. 
FWIW, the waves have been a pretty loose concept for a while, at least since Wave 3 when Epic ships and Aces packs started falling in between the cracks. It's worth noting that to some degree Wave 5 and Wave 6 are probably a single release. If nothing else, there is an Imperial/Rebel ship available in every single Wave except Wave 6, and there is a Scum ship available in every single Wave except Wave 5....
