Pilot figures

By Harleigh, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Hello all. As many of you, I have been frothing to combine X-wing and Imperial Assault. One of the linch-pins to this is good quality miniatures for Rebel and Imperial pilots. Does anyone know of a source of these or how I would convert them in scale?

Also, if you are watching benevolent overlords of FFG, please create these allies and villains.

Thank you

Perhaps they don't meet your criteria for good quality, but you can find imperial and rebel figures on coolstuff from WotC's Star Wars Miniatures Game. And with shipping it'd probably only be about $4 for 1 of each.

Yea, I have a rebel pilot from the old minis game that I repainted the face of, they never get the faces right. Alternatively you can buy cheap rebel pilot minis and swap heads to an alien race you please!

I have seen those, but I was hoping there was something else out there. The quality difference is a bit hard to swallow.

Thank you for the reply's though

I haven't looked specifically at pilots, but I just got my hands on some rodians for a second squad of Hired Guns and after painting them in the same way/scheme as my HGs, the difference in quality isn't that bad. Though I'd say, out of the 4 groups I bought (2x Rodians and 2x Duros for Sabs), only that one group seemed close enough to the IA models.

Here is my idea for pilots for Imperial Assault. I really hope Pilots do get added at some point, the WOTC ones aren't that great while the Rebel Pilot is decent the Imperial pilot miniature is taller than the Imperial Assault Vader miniature. Plus I would love to see some new poses and give FFG even more of my money.

Now I won't lie, part of the reason I thought up these two is that I thought it would be cool to have the pilot figures on the table, and with the group sizes if you buy 2 of each then you would more than likely have enough pilot figures to place on your X-wing cards to represent the pilots as just an added bit of fun.
