Imperial warlord, Rebel splinter faction, Scum was always dog-eat dog: you have tons of options lore-wise.

Or, in time; you could play solely La Resistance or New Order and have them fighting remnant fleets: holdout warlords for Imperials, and New Republic hard-liners for the rebels.

As always, the syndicates, cartels, conglomerates, families, shadowrunner teams, and various pirates that compose the scum faction have no allegiance to each other so no conflict there.

And who knows? Maybe the movies will introduce a third faction ala Borg or Vong; who can say what the future holds in store?

if you guys play 2 vs 2 you could support whichever faction your teammate is playing. otherwise I would just play all if you have the ships Personally I prefer playing scum for fun but always play the empire if I want to be competitive at the moment. but that's just because my pal plays rebels only I could never completely shut down the other factions as each of them have their own play style and values... maybe that's why I might just as well empty my wallet into FFG's hands! Anyway sounds like a really fun househould you got there! you're lucky

I agree with this! In our house, my son plays Rebels and Scum, I play all three, but take Imperials first most of the time!

Why limit yourself?

Just because everyone else is restricting themselves to a single faction is no reason you should do the same. Even if you want to avoid the possible mirror matches it gives you so much more freedom and also makes it easier to borrow stuff if need be.

Or lure one of them (preferably one of the parents: money) into Armada.

And take the whole family out for a spin of Imperial Assault.

I'm doing it out of necessity. For some reason, particular members of the household have seen it fit to claim a faction.

You could pull a Boss-stunt and make a badass HUTT Cartel, or go all out on Black Sun, or just play Rouge Squadron, or the 181st and so forth.

Then there is dat new stuff. First Order or Resistance forces only...
