BBYY thoughts

By Diabloelmo, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hi all, fairly new player on the scene here. I've put together a fairly simple list that is designed to be mostly just played down at the LFGS, but being that I am what can be called an "optimizer" in polite company, thought I'd run it by people who have rather more experience than I do.

Dagger Squadron Pilot w/ FCS

Dagger Squadron Pilot w/ FCS

Gold Squadron Pilot w/ TLT

Gold Squadron Pilot w/ TLT

As is fairly obvious, this list is not trying to be especially subtle or pull any fancy tricks.

32 health to burn through is nothing to sneeze at. daggers are at 4 so youll have first crack at a lot of TLTs. not a whole of shenanigans so your only hang up will be piloting...however, not a lot of shenanigans also means others will be able to arc dodge you fairly easily. i recommend starting in formation then breaking off as you enter combat. that way youll always have at least one ship being able to fire...i prefer AC over FCS. if you really want to go with a simple but effective list may try 3 TLT y and a dagger with AC = 99

or 2X blue with AC and 2X gold with TLT and R2 units=100

AC would be fantastic, but I'm not going to fork out for Starvipers or IG-2000s for them. FCS rather helpfully comes with the B-Wing, which is why it was chosen to round out the list

A new take on an older style build. Titled Y's with Ion and Blues with Advenced Sensors was the "old" this build. Your take will give your B's a chance to take out other lower PS pilots and have dice modification every round even with the B's heavy red dial. Not bad. TLT's without a title will offer some protection from arc dodgers, at least early game. The TLT's will be the target priority. Watch for doughnut hole tactics when playing maneuverable opponents. Try and create a distance web against heavy arc dodgers to keep as much firepower viable as possible.

TLDR: I like it, try it out. :P
