Got lucky and snagged a bunch of stuff cheap from a fellow feeding his Warhammer addiction and will be playing in my first tournament next week. I came up with three lists for the Imperials I got and I am wondering out of all these three lists which would be the most playable ones in a standard tournament setting. (Please note I do not have any scum and villainy so I got no autothrusters (which seem to be a go to upgrade and none of my local stores expect any in till after the tournament). Here are my three lists (also note I am missing only the huge ships, The K-wing, YT 2400, Decimator, or any of the Scum and Villainy).

May Switch out Night Beast with the Tie/FO Zeta Ace for 18

Total:97 (or 100 if I Switch out to Zeta ace)

Any and all advice welcome.

1 and 3 have a few drawbacks, but all three look like fun to play. I think 2 is most competetive, though. How about taking the shuttle with vader crew, along with dark curse, howlrunner and 3 obsidians in a swarm, and backstabber flanking? Area denial for aces (vader fear!) ...

Or building a list around a sensor-jammer whisper? I'd expect to see lots of poes, stresshogs, 'fixed' vaders and tlts, the way things are at the minute. Of The best imperial aces - carnor, soontir, vader, juno and echo/Whisper - you're missing the cards to make them work optimally, except echo/whisper. If you do plump for her, get some practice in, even if its solo, as it's easy to mess her up through simple mistakes.

Lastly, do you know anyone with the raider? You might be able to borrow the fix cards for the tournement - it comes with four sets...

Did not think about a Sensor Jammer Whisper I like that idea. as for getting the cards from the raider, I think someone I know has it and i'll see if I can get them to give me the cards. I was warned that most people are heavy into Imperials in town and out of the 20 expect for this tournament, at least half are imperial lists. (Fun fact is that their are a dozen people playing Armada locally right now and not one of them is fielding a rebel fleet.) I Figure I got a bit of cash I'll have to go grab a second Tie Phantom maybe play around a bit with double Phantom Build.
