I've recently gotten into X-Wing, was hoping to find a local shop to play at. I'm in the Greensboro area.

There are a couple of stores in the Charlotte area that have tournaments about once a month. Be There Games in Indian Trail, and Your Local Game Store in Matthews. Both of these stores are right off the 485 Beltway on the Southeast side of Charlotte. Probably about 90 minutes from G-boro.

We have a group of guys at a local store in Lexington NC. If you come down Business 85 it will be on your left when you hit downtown. We will be be playing from 1pm to 5pm this Saturday (12/12/15). I live on the north end of High Point and it takes me about 30 minutes.

Last time I went to Atomic Empire and asked about X-Wing they said they didn't have players, Glad to know there is a group there. Do you guys ever get tournaments there?

Yikes! I hope someone corrected that poor, misinformed employee. The league's up to 10+ players in the wake of TFA. We have occasional tournaments. There's going to be a Store Champs on 3/26/16.

Gamer's Armory (also in Cary) has an X-Wing group that plays on Monday nights. I think they're also hosting a Store Champs, and have occasional tournaments beyond the FFG-scheduled ones.

I went to the tournament this passed weekend at Atomic Empire however it is a bit of a drive to get there (1.5 hours give or take).

I would like to learn to play. Are there any groups in the Salisbury/Concord area?

You will want to look into Parker Banner Kent and Wanye in Cornellius, and Your Local Game Store in Matthews. There is also Abubika in Gastonia but that is a little further away. We'd also love to have you up in Winston-Salem at House of Cards if you ever come up our way.t

Hope those of you looking for X-Wing in NC can find a good local place to play - I have heard of active groups at several gaming stores, so it's great to see that we have lots of options here! We are always happy to have new players at Atomic Empire in Durham. As previously mentioned, we have our league on Tuesday nights, but you can usually find someone for a non-league game as well. There are 22 players in the league right now, so generally several people don't have an opponent to play on league nights.
