We are starting a league here in Burleson, Texas and I wanted to ask the community on how we should proceed. What is the norm? How long do you play? Is there a document you use for pairing?

Our league is fly casual. We use a point system. Earn 12 points pick a prize. Every 4 points you accumulate gets you a participiian prize. Each win is worth 2 points while each loss is worth 1 point. You can play as many games as you want on league night but only 2 of the games count towards league points. So most points you can get is 4 and the fewest is 2. We also make sure we rotate players. Meaning if I player A and B week one then I should try to play players C and D the next time I show up. keeping track of players is simple. Each player gets a sheet to record their opponents with the date win/loss and points. The store also charges $5 per sheet. Get 12 points, collect prize, get another sheet, play more X-Wing.
