I've played against a list like this before and Gaarkhan didn't contribute too much.. I'd drop him for another set of wookie warriors. I would also try to make room for another copy of parting blow. People wont want to stand toe to toe with those wookies and killing them when they escape is sheer joy, and game changing against the right figure.

I agree with flightmaster101 that more Wookiee Warriors would be better, but I'd drop Chewbacca and Balance to get two more groups and keep Gaarkhan (or sub him out for your choice of 8 points).

Chewbacca is powerful, but badly overcosted, even if you're using lots of command cards relevant to him.

I love a Wookie list, but am not sure how to actually make one viable.

I would try to find room for Wild Fury in your Command Deck - and potentially Furious Charge if you want Gaarkhan to shine. Take Initiative is also difficult to do without, even if you mist less powerful units you might want to exhaust with the card.

I would probably also drop one of your current Deployment cards to be able to afford Gideon, C-3PO and Fury of Kashyyyk. Or if you drop Chewbacca, to also add a group of Rebel Saboteurs to have more ranged as well as being able to pin down enemies with Stun, so that your furball can actually roll over them.

Someone brought this exact list to a tournament last weekend. I can't speak for the Command Cards, but those were the models he used.

It got destroyed.

I was running the Vader/RGx2/Officerx3 build. Reach/Stun killed his team. RGs stunned Gaarkhan within range of Vader who was able to Brutality Gaarkhan and Chewy, then Lure of the Dark Sided Chewy into killing Gaarkhan. I never felt I was in danger.

It played the 4x4 and it was even worse. At one point the Wookiee player was lamenting that on his turn he had 6 figures on the map and couldn't roll an attack because Every Single Figure was Stunned and Chewbacca was around a corner.

Definitely take the advice of including Rebel Saboteurs. During last night's casual play I watched a Gideon/Sabs/Wookiee list just slow roll a merc team. Wookiees in front of Saboteurs. Using the meatshields. Worked well.

The Warriors are good, Chewy and Garkhan aren't. Take more Warriors, add Gideon and C-3PO, maybe even R2 ...

Nothing can stand the

Most lists can't afford Chewbacca alone, NO list can afford Chewbacca AND Gaarkhan. Cash them in for 4 Wookiees, Gideon, and the Droids.

You could drop Gaarkhan for Gideon, R2 and 3PO,Ive found those three have become staples in my Rebel lists for their awesome utility.
