Can we get some imperial action in a source book?

By SuperSam888, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

I have been searching online for some good information, ideas, etc. on playing as the empire in Age of Rebellion. I found many people who are running imperial campaigns and they are doing so perfectly well with what they have (a lot in EotE and AoR is truly neutral, especially the former), but wouldn't it be great if we had a source book with the purpose of aiding us in our imperial campaigns?

Wouldn't it be a great idea?

Can we please get some imperial action in a source book someday?

I'm hoping there will be an Imperial book as an Imperial counterpart to Strongholds of Resistance but we'll see

We'll more than likely see a "Strongholds of Oppression" sourcebook, but not a book for playing as an Imperial. There is a fan-made Imperial module somewhere on this forum, and the Imperial Handbook and the older Imperial Sourcebook are good places to start.

There's also a fan made book for the Imperial Commandoes, as well.

What is it, specifically, that you need from such a resource that isn't already available in the existing books?

Most, if not all, of the careers & specializations are decidedly faction neutral, so I'm thinking you just need flavor, and flavor is available for free all over the internet.

The difficulty of producing an actual *book* to cover the topic is this:

Role-Playing Games are, frankly, an abysmally small market, and any system outside of D&D and Pathfinder are an abysmally small *fraction* of that abysmally small market. (Even with the weight of the Star Wars franchise behind it.) Take the itty bitty market for FFG's system, and search it for people who want to play as the 'bad guys', and you've shrunk it even further. At some point, the demand for the material simply doesn't cover the costs of developing it, and bringing it to market.

Fan-developed resources are 'easier', because they get developed as volunteer projects, and don't expect to make money on the results (and more than likely *can't* do so without entering a world of hurt).
