I don't really see the point of a Dark Side book. The only things really missing from Dark Side abilities is Sith Alchemy and Sorcery, and they'll likely be folded into the existing Career books. Currently there's more in-game information on Dark Side mechanics then there is Light Side mechanics. Despite what the book says, if your not Dark Side or a Light Paragon, you're Neutral/Gray. There is nearly no benefit at all to play a true Light Side (Paragon) character. While I don't think Paragon needs it's own book, some actual mechanics would be nice.
Can we get some dark side action in a source book?
Seconded, though it looks like grey/neutral force use is going to continue to be lumped in with the Light, as evidenced by a number of Light Side abilities being included as talents without use restriction. Darth PsychoKiller17 has no business having free use of Light Side talents like Balance and Calming Aura, if you ask me.
Although I do feel compelled to point out that Light Side Paragons do get a better deal than dark siders in one very important respect: Evildoers trade two points of their strain threshold for wounds, while Light Side Paragons simply gain two bonus strain threshold. If you can get your hands on a meditation focus, you have a whopping six extra strain compared to an equivalently statted Sith. Wounds are important, sure, but strain threshold is an absolutely precious resource.
I prefer the current method to be honest. Like in Keeping the Peace we get a Sith shield. I much prefer them updating us on Sith (and other non Jedi Force stuff such as the shield gauntlets that lets you do the Killian Rangers) in each book as opposed to holding out for one big book of stuff. I think this method helps to keep things moving with out creating a sudden over abundance of material for one faction.
They could make a non-Jedi Force traditions book for both Light Side and Dark Side traditions. I'd buy it for sure.
Matukai warriors,
Aiing-Tii monks,
Mindwalkers. i can see the possibilities now!!

Now I'm not saying I wouldn't like to see additional specializations focused on other force traditions, in fact I'd very much like to see them. I just want to point out that people seem to be getting hung up on what a Jedi "tradition" is. The only specific Jedi specializations are the lightsaber forms, and even those are shared with the Sith. Many of the specializations in the FaD could (and likely are) tied to other force traditions. Right off the top of my head, both the Hunter and Pathfinder seem more closely related to the Nightsisters then the Jedi. You'd also have a difficult time convincing me the Aggressor is connected to the Jedi. The Baran Do Sages are easily handled as Seers and Advisors. A large part of Sith Sorcery is the application of illusions which is replicated via the Misdirect force power.
I'm not saying we don't need some specializations that focus on other traditions, only that a several traditions are already represented using generic titles like: Seer, Hunter, Pathfinder, etc.
Edited by TalosXWarden in the Keeping the peace book is what you would use to do warden of the sky. Armorer is what you would likely use to do Jansarai. Protector covers Imperial knights pretty well.
Also if you haven't notice they are slowly leaning towards the canon material as time goes on because you have to remember they are a year ahead development wise. If you pay attention to the FFG Star Wars games not just the RPG they are slowly incorporating the latest stuff such as the Gonzati cruiser and Inquistor ship into X-wing game. VCX-100 has popped up in Keeping the Peace. I see FFG going more and more with canon stuff than grabbing stuff from the EU. They do have new masters so the stuff we are getting now is filtered through Disney now. They give us just enough of the dark side to help give GMs ideas but just like others have pointed out they have done their best not to lock something as 'this is the only way'. By keeping it so vague and non-descript you can create your own sorcery or alchemy just make the force powers into those forms and apply your light or dark side as appropriate. The balance of power shifts often on Dathomir and the Night Sisters may lose their hold on it and the Force Witches of Dathomir come to the forefront. The 'sorcery' of the sisters for the most part was merely an alternate interpretation of already established force powers. Alchemy could be applied in Enhance, Sense, or even Farseeing powers. Sorcery can take the form of Move, Influence, or again even Enhance and just add for special effects for it (like glowing green/red aura) or something of that nature. Just my 2 credits...
