BBBB List options

By sablebadger, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I'm playing around with some variations for BBBB list. I took a Blue + Accuracy Corrector x4 list into a store tournament, and went 2 and 2. It might have been better, but I made a stupid move in my third game that took any chance of a win.

I flew this list last night and won both.

Bee Target Mangler (100)
Blue Squadron Pilot — B-Wing 22
Fire-Control System 2
Ship Total: 24
Blue Squadron Pilot — B-Wing 22
Fire-Control System 2
Ship Total: 24
Blue Squadron Pilot — B-Wing 22
Fire-Control System 2
Ship Total: 24
Blue Squadron Pilot — B-Wing 22
Fire-Control System 2
"Mangler" Cannon 4
Ship Total: 28
What about this as an option? I'm not super convinced that Mangler adds as much.
Bee Target Recon (100)
Blue Squadron Pilot — B-Wing 22
Fire-Control System 2
Ship Total: 24
Blue Squadron Pilot — B-Wing 22
Fire-Control System 2
Ship Total: 24
Blue Squadron Pilot — B-Wing 22
Fire-Control System 2
Ship Total: 24
Blue Squadron Pilot — B-Wing 22
Fire-Control System 2
Recon Specialist 3
B-Wing/E2 1
Ship Total: 28
Maintaining that second target lock seems like a good move, when you switch targets after focus firing a ship into space dust. Is the second target lock better than turning a single hit to crit, and taking away the range 3 bonus on one ship.

I had a friend who enjoyed FCS B-Wings. He ran BBBY.

2x B-Wing w/ FCS

1x B-Wing w/ FCS + B-Wing/E2 + Intelligence Agent

1x Stresshog (Y-Wing w/ TLT, Stress Droid & Title)

That's 100 points. The Int. Agent was used to inform barrel rolls and potential blocks, while the Y-Wing was designed to hinder those action dependent aces who you might otherwise never get an arc on.

He enjoyed this list for awhile and got good with it. It's not the best, but for a PS2 list, it's pretty solid if flown correctly.

Don't forget about or underestimate the power of advanced sensors on these guys. You can fly them tight as hell, focus before bumping, arc dodge or asteroid dodge before you move, and focus before you k-turn with them all. It's a nice fail safe that always ensures actions and makes them nasty in asteroid fields with the 2 speed k-turn and focus.

Haven't flown it in a while, but I have had some fun with a control list.

2x Blue w/ Ion cannon

2x Blue w/ E2-Tactician

Use the ion and stress to shut a target or two down, and then lay into it when they are drifting with no actions. Each ship is 25 points as well, so no obvious target priority for them.

This was my variation after a super-Dash shredded my BBBBY.
