Yeah, agreed. That's why I would push for Intel + XI7 on Home One herself and Raymus + XI7 on Defiance for the extra dice. Ideally, you activate Home One first, your opponent tries to retaliate with a big ship, then Defiance rips into the offender with 2 extra blacks with CF + re-roll. (or even more if you double arc)

Maybe so, but as I don't own those cards I had to do with what I have. And all my opponents had a lot of squadrons, so my fighters came to good use. But I'll probably end up buying the Nebulon expansion someday (although I have 3 core Nebulons thanks to 2 Cores and one trade...).

I made the same mistake - two core nebs and only one expansion. A single XI7 isn't terribly great, much better for everyone to share in the fun.
