Star Wars Rebels: I have a bad feeling about this

By patox, in X-Wing Off-Topic

Is there anyway that this doesn't end badly for Ezra, Kana and Ahsoka?

Everyone knows they exist.

Bail Organa

Yoda

Tarkin

Palpatine

And most importantly, Anakin Vader

Obviously, they're not in Ep 4 or anything beyond.

Seems their fate is sealed.

Yoda: Luke, when gone am I... the last of the Jedi will you be.

Remember that the Jedi are an order, not a race or class. We take it for granted that Yoda meant something to the effect of "The last of the trained, non-Dark-Side-aligned Force adepts will you be," but that isn't necessarily the case. So theoretically they could just lay down the Jedi mantle and go on with their lives, though presumably Vader and Palpatine aren't that caught up in semantics and would keep coming after them anyway...

Ooooor they could turn to the Dark Side.

Maybe Ezra is Kylo Ren?

Its already been demonstrated that there are sects of the rebellion that know nothing about each other (in rebels and in the marvel comics). The group we see in IV, V and VI fly x-wings and y-wings as the core part of their fighter fleet. The rebel sect in Rebels flies A-wings and looks like soon B-wings as the core of their fighters. Looks like at least these two dont merge at Yavin or Hot, and not even until we see A-wings and B-wings at Endor. In the Marvel comics they also make the point that most of the rebellion doesnt believe Luke exists, or if he does that he isnt really a Jedi, just a lucky kid who the rebels prop up for PR reasons.

Also Asoka and Kannan are not Jedi, and neither consider themselves Jedi even. Asoka was exiled and Kannan never made the rank of Knight.

Yoda: Luke, when gone am I... the last of the Jedi will you be.

If Yoda was omniscient then most of Star Wars would never have happened.

Shrouded in darkness the future is...

AKA I'm a huge phony

Remember that certain point of view mentioned by a certain force spirit in ROTJ?

First rule of thumb, Jedi lie... they learnt that from the Doctor himself!

I just hope Ezra and Kanan learn one important lesson... they have a Rex on their side and boy does he have his work cut out for him!

Still think the Doctor's habit of running works better than staying around long enough for the Inquisitors to catch up!

Yeah don't see the emperor's lightning not working on demand.

Ahsoka, no. She's a goner.

The rest isn't as certain. Despite what people think, there is room for multiple main characters to exist. The Ghost crew does not have to be part of the main Trilogy. Heck, they even mentioned that the Yavin base was one cell.

Ooooor they could turn to the Dark Side.

Maybe Ezra is Kylo Ren?

They do both seem to have a thing for helmets...

If Ezra were Kylo Ren that would make him 49 years in the Force Awakens.

Ezra is the same age as luke and leia. he is older by 2 days

They could be in jail during the DSI and DSII events. It's hard to imagine them being just off in a different sector and unmentioned.

Yoda is the biggest BSer in the entire film series. He is supposed to be this big bad-butt, but he never wins a single duel and lets Palpatine completely own him. He has vague visions that never amount to squat.

We only see him fight two duels in the movies and he won one of those. Yeah Dooku got away but only because Yoda decided saving Anakin and Obiwan was more important the finishing him off.

So, basically... if Yoda had finished Dooku off, Anakin would have died and never become Vader, Mace Windu would have got the better of Palpatine, the Death Star would never have been created and Alderaan would never have been destroyed.

Yeah, Yoda is totes amazeballs. After the prequels, he's now up there with Jar Jar Binks as one of the biggest ruiners in the series.

This goes back to my almost pure paragon vs your half paragon half renegade mass effect playthrough...

I really don't see them killing off all three, especially in the show. Not sure what their fates will be, but that would be a little much. I'm sure we will get some books or they might even turn up in one of these spin-off movies to explain what happens to them.

For all you guys know, the next extended re re re release of ROTJ will have the ghost flying in the background of endor.

Off the top of my head he dueled Dooku to a draw and then got his lunch money taken by Palpatine. He is 0-1-1. Obi Wan, by contrast, took out Maul, Grievous, and Anikan for a bad-ass record of 3-0-0.

In the Marvel comics they also make the point that most of the rebellion doesnt believe Luke exists, or if he does that he isnt really a Jedi, just a lucky kid who the rebels prop up for PR reasons.

I have been reading some of the new comics but obviously not all of them - where/when did the above happen in the new comics?

The new comics are also pretty much right after ANH, as well. Something to keep in mind.

If Yoda's duel against Dooku was a draw then so was his duel against Palpatine since the first ended with Dooku retreating and the second with Yoda retreating.

I disagree. When Yoda and Dooku dueled, they each nullified each other's powers with no clear victor. Dooku fled because of all the clone trooper (and Anikan and Obi Wan) reinforcements that were arriving. He would have lost to numbers, not just Yoda.

However, when Yoda and Palpatine dueled, Palpatine was kicking Yoda's ass all over the senate and Yoda fled because he knew he could not defeat Palpatine. He even admitted as much to Bail Organa.

Asohka and Kanan are definately Jedi, or at least should count cause they are still living by the code or passing it on. There isn't an order any more but they count. They even have clones working for them!

Think of them as Ronin finally finding where they belong, with the Alliance.
