This is the career book I've been waiting for!

New Specs:

- Cyber Tech - Tech/doc hybrid with cybernetics talents

- Droid Tech - Droid specialist

- Modder - Seems like Outlaw Tech, but less focused on weapons

Signature Abilities:

- Inventive Creation - Build a temporary device out of stuff at hand (MacGyver power)

- Unmatched Calibration - Super dice pool modification

Promises more detailed rules on building, fixing, inventing, and slicing. Also, lots of stuff on cybernetics and droids for gear.

New species are promised but not announced. However, there is a Besalisk on the cover, so I'm betting that will be one. There's a picture of Zeb and Chopper in the art, so Lasat may be another (especially as we've seen X-Wing heading into Rebels territory lately - FFG may be exploring that part of their license in all their Star Wars games soon).

Yes!

Yes!!

YESSSSS!!!!!!!

They didn't mention what new species, although from the cover I'm guessing Besalisk is one.

:D

EXCELLENT. I've got a PC who's been waiting for this book since January 2nd of last year when my game started.

And another PC playing a home-brewed Besalisk waiting for official stats (that will likely line up somewhat with the NPC Besalisk presented in Force and Destiny).

The creation rules sound fascinating.

Can't wait!

Awesome!

Oh, and "CALLED IT" for the Bounty Hunter book being the last book in the EotE Career Book cycle (called that one years ago).

;)

Upon further reflection, Chopper is probably the Technician in this picture, so perhaps Lasat are not imminent. I'm still betting we see the Lasat somewhere soon though, maybe in the AOR Soldier book.

Besalisk are basically a lock though.

No, I'm pretty sure I called that one back in early 2014, which was more than a year ago. :D

Agreed; that's probably there to highlight the fact that the Rebels material will be featured more going forward.

And yeah, Lasat would be exceptional for inclusion in the Soldier book. Not sure if it's happening, but if they could squeeze them into there, that would rock.

That was not me saying it, but fixing your typo.

I figured the bounty hunter would be last. However, given the release schedule, I wouldn't be surprised if that one's coming up mid- to late-2016.

Sooooo dam happy. The Three specs are just fantastic. And less than 4 months away if boats are kind to us!

I'm guessing next book to be announced will be an AoR adventure module.

Oh man! This is the book I've been waiting for. I want it now!

I definitely agree with that estimation.

I figure that, with Mask of the Pirate Queen and Strongholds of Resistance out, the Commander career book in the pipeline, and this one announced, we'll be looking at an AoR adventure module, and a F&D career book *at the minimum* after this Tech book and before the BH one.

I am pleasantly surprised that they did not just reprint Rigger in here (although it's a great spec and a natural fit for a Technician).

Maybe the modder will have some of the ranked stuff from the Rigger thus making a nice synergy...which would be even better.

Hmmmm I was certain that this would be the last book. Guess I was wrong. Still I'm looking forward to it.

Also weren't the Lasat dead except for Zeb?

No. In the episode they said their were very few of them left.

The Lasat were effectively wiped out.

All I neec to say is:

Please have Bith!

Why would they have Bith? As far as I know Bith are not known for being technicians. I suspect Bith may be in the Tatooine book if they do one.

The Bith have big brains (and exploding heads), so it's not out of the realm of possibility for them to show up in this book; stretches as far back as Galaxy Guide 4. That said, they could also crop up in the Engineer or Consular books as well. They don't really have any relation with Tatooing then any of the other species seen in the cantina or Jabba's palace though.
