Can I? Seems like I can, as the TL'ed/LW/Predator dice have already been rerolled and can't possibly be rerolled.
Edited by ParaGoomba SlayerCan I use Predator/Lone Wolf to reroll dice, and then use Han's ability to reroll the others?
To reroll the OTHER dice, yeah, sure.
Not many reasons why you would want to do that, presumably the dice you kept the first time were hits, or if the roll was so bad that you couldn't reroll all the misses with predator you would have used Han's ability first.
But yes, if you reroll some dice first, then those dice cannot be rerolled again and so Han's ability won't pick them up, just the others.
Yes.
This makes sense sometimes when Han has Predator and Gunner. Imagine he rolls a hit and two blanks against a low PS target, rerolls the blanks with Predator, and gets blanks again. It's probably best to use Han's ability to reroll the hit to increase your chances of a clean miss (which will trigger Gunner), rather than risk a single damage from the first shot.
Edited by Dr LuckyIt would even be possible to throw in spending a TL before you utilize Han's ability. Why you'd want to do that is hard to answer but it could be done.
Yes. Any die can only be re-rolled a maximum of once per attack, but you can use any number of reroll effects to achieve that number.

Very well said - more clear than any other version I've seen.

Also a very good point - judicious use of re-rolls to maximize Gunner's utility is not an art that I have mastered. I can't math well enough to even know how to approach determining when you should leave your dice unmodified in hopes of the attack failing so you can try again with Gunner. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Buuuueller?

I've had practice answering this one :-)

This was the common practice in Wave 2 and early Wave 3, when the Han Shoots First hadn't yet met C3P0 and forgotten his diet.
Which is when I started in on the forum, thus answering the question a lot ![]()

This isn't necessarily the "right answer", but it is "an answer." In the "Index of Useful Links", there are several excellent tables and such that break down all of the hit/miss percentages.
That being said... if you are a "newer player", it is difficult to keep all of that straight while playing the game. Simple rule of thumb-- try to "hit" as many times as possible.
If you "hit" once and get evaded- Gunner kicks in. You win!
If you "hit" once and they don't evade-- you hit them once... bird in the hand... You win again!
That is kind of how it works for me at this stage of the game without too much thought.
