I've got a Polish edition of The Dark Forest expansion and one of the cards has been poorly translated. I don't know how to play this card.

It's a green Challenge, I don't know if I re-translate it correctly but I think it's "The thorns of wraptree", it has a following statistics:

14/1-------12/1---------10/1

The problem is that the translation sais that during a ranged phase of combat the number of Melee damage of the enemy should be reduced by 1. It deosn't make any sense. Does it reduce the ranged or the melee damage of the enemy?

The English language card is called "Wrapwood Bramble." It sounds like the Polish translation got pretty badly mangled In English. It doesn't refer to ranged combat at all, and in fact the reference to reducing damage comes up only when taking the card as an item reward. My guess is that the translator got confused and used some of the text from the Wrapwood Tree (a different card) on the Wrapwood Bramble. To make this a bit clearer, here is the full text of the Wrapwood Bramble card:

Wrapwood brambles are dangerous live or dead.

Before Combat: Test [Mind] Sneak (18). If you succeed, you immediately defeat this challenge.

Reward: Take this card. It becomes a Weapon: Whip Item and now reads "Your opponent's melee damage value is reduced by 1 (to a minimum of 1)."
