So on Saturday I finally got around to trying out Latts (my friends and I usually play 3 way 80 points so it was harder to justify him there). The Y-wing was a build I'd been playing around with the past few weeks using the btl title. Latts with Weapons Engineer for the extra Target Lock and Hound's tooth title.
Y-wing Syndicate thug with the BTL-04 Title, Unhinged Astromech and Twin Laser Turret.
Talonbane with swarm tactics and hull upgrade.
Rebels were running Han in the falcon and YT-2400 (don't remember who or what upgrades)
Imperials had Boba Fett lone wolfing and a TIE fighter and Bomber.
I do wish that I'd kept track of what they were running though I know the bomber was loaded with extra munitions and stuff.
Our play area was a bit more narrow than usual but that just meant we got into it that much quicker. I kept the Y-wing in formation with Talonbane and Latts nearby so his locks would be useful. Swarm Tactics was the star of the night here as it gave my cheap little Y-wing the chance to attack first (I'd tried similar y-wing builds recently but they got shot down before really getting used).
In the end I pretty much tore them apart thanks to Talonbane getting range 1 and combining with Latt's ability as well as the Y-wing primary, then twin laser adding that extra bit before any of them fired.
I would make some changes to the build (I'd had it lying around for weeks and did some last minute changes to run it for an unscheduled game) but I really enjoyed it. The synchronicities are there and the squad can survive losing any of those ships while still being potent. I think next time I might drop the hounds tooth and hull upgrade to play a bit more with upgrading talonbane or latts but this is a good place to start for a solid build.
