so as per the latest FAQ update bombs that detonate when overlapped by base or by maneuver template do not detonate if placed directly on a ship but the same FAQ also states that a ship can suffer multiple effects from an asteroid if in its attempt to move off of it the template overlaps the asteroid again does that mean if when moving off of a bomb that was placed on you detonate it if you have to lay your maneuver template on top of it?

The current FAQ says that a mine token (prox mine, cluster mine, Conner net) that is dropped onto a ship DOES detonate immediately. Unless there has been a stealth update recently that no one has mentioned.

Bombs truly are suffering, although for different reasons than the op implies.

If you land a template mine on several ships, it only hits one.
