Homebrewed a new game mode, any input?

So, a friend of mine and I were talking about Wave 2, and the MC30c got brought up, which led to me theorizing a possible new game type. Here is the first draft:

Game Type: Stolen Property: This game type allows players to select ships from the opposing faction to use in their respective fleets, with these conditions:

1: You must declare which faction you are representing before the start of the game;

2: Your commander must be from your faction;

3: Any unique officers you select must be from your faction;

4: No more than half your total points can be dedicated to ships and/or squadrons from the opposing faction (Includes the cost of upgrades);

5: You cannot use Unique Squadrons from the opposing faction.

As I said, this is the first draft of the game type, so any advice, input, or criticisms would be appreciated.

If that interests you, enjoy testing it out. I like the distinctive features of each side's tactical style, so I'd rather keep playing faction pure. Maybe it's just a side effect of playing Attack Wing with over-the-top faction mixing, but I'm kind of attached to keep factions separate and distinct.

If I take rebels and put Mon Montha on a couple of AF's say and then take 200 points of imperial toys the imperial component may end up being the more significant portion of the fleet. I would think you may want to play with a 100 point limit on opposite faction things.

This could be a fun way to play and learn about the various ships. I wouldn't want to play this way too many time, as like MarekMandalore I like the asymmetrical nature of the fleets.

An alternative setup would be what we called "Highlander" where there can be only one of any ship, upgrade or card.
