Slave II

By darthkray, in X-Wing

Probably not. Its more likely that Boba still has Slave 1 in the new TFA canon, because it is iconic and looks better.

I personaly never liked the idea of Boba giving up Slave 1.

do we even know if The Fett is alive in the new canon ?

If you read Aftermath (which IS canon), it does not appear as if Fett survived ROTJ. What appears to be his armor shows up in a scene that takes place in a Jawa sandcrawler.

I read that as he did survive. How else did his armour get out of the pit?

Kind of a bummer :/ maybe he just threw away the acidcrusted old armour?

That ship quite honestly looks horrible, rivaled only by the droid tri-fighter, with at the very least has more detail.

This is a really wierd way of calling Slave II pretty when it's not.

It looks like they lifted a piece straight from the Tales of Jabba's Palace.

This from Wookieepedia:

The Sarlacc, however, could never hold Fett. Thanks to his iron will and Mandalorian armor, Fett was able to fight his way out of the beast's belly. After escaping, Fett was found by a group of Jawas who took him to be either a droid or cyborg, never bothering to scan him, and claimed him as their own under the impression he was an unintelligent being. They took him into their sandcrawler, fitted him with a restraining bolt, and went on their way.

Usually my star wars knowledge is very notable, but here I have absolutely no clue what you all are talking about :mellow:

A ship of this class, called the Enkidu, was encountered a few times when playing X-Wing: Alliance.

It belonged to the criminal transport family Viraxo, while you were a member of their arcrivals: the Azzameen (Emon Azzameen, the Firespray Scum pilot is a brother).

As we already have one, we might as well bring in the whole family of Azzameens, they have a bunch of ships the game might use such as a YT-2000, a YT-1300, a GR-75 and an Action IV.

You could, with some proxying, design your own cards for the whole family to bring them into the S&V faction.

Thanks for the update

Could, and have:

Very interesting and balanced pilot skills. Like them, they are definitively worth to take and strategic to play

If Disney doesn't make it, it probably won't be in X-wing. And since all the EU is dumped, if it wasn't already in FFG's development then it won't be made by Disney.

Proctology

The EU wasn't dumped, they just reiterated that they wouldn't be held back by the mess that was the EU.

The EU was always subservient to the movies, and now Disney has made a complete clean break:

If it is published after [can't be bothered by the date] it is canon. Anything before that, bar the two trilogies and some of the cartoons is relegated to legends. They might lift stuff out, they might leave it.

Maybe they can make the slave II ship for generic scum. ???

If you read Aftermath (which IS canon)

See, the thing people don't seem to get about the old EU is that it was necessary to be selective. I mean, who in their right mind would consider Jedi Prince canon?

New-canon is the same, except that they've thrown the baby out with the bathwater and are starting from a much lower bar than the time-tested elements of the EU.

Because it's so implausible that a person with a helmet, a bottle of oxygen, a grappling hook and a jetpack would survive being dropped in a puddle of acid. (Lucas' geek boner for classic psychoanalysis aside)

In a movie where characters with no equipment whatsoever are repeatedly shown jumping or falling down several stories, to no ill efett.

I mean, it has to be absolute bollocks, right guys? Right?

I have been stuck on the mission where you are supposed to sabotage the comm sat since 2001.

Bug out. If it's the one I am thinking of, you just gotta kill the scum, but you can't be ID'ed by the imperials, you gotta bug out.

Nah it's the one where the sister goes EVA and you have to shoot down spacetroopers.

Put the turret on full auto.

I just realized why YT1300 isn't scum.

Boba + Han on same team would break everything.

there's lots of other 1300's besides teh falcon.

and good pilots too, Trynic for example.

And I would be more than happy to see theAI-piloted Kierra.

Dashes 2400 also had a long history worth remembering.

so nope, YT's are OK for TEH GLORIOUS MECRENARY SPACE PIRATE RACE

Slave II? No, just no. Practically nothing came out of Dark Empire that was worth anything. The E-wing was probably the best and it's still and ugly little thing.

Honestly the only awful thing out of Dark Empire was the plot. It's easily one of the best pieces when it comes to design-work that actually looks "Star Wars".

Just to flesh this topic out a bit more (pay attention darthkray)

The Slave II is a Pursuer Class starship used by Boba Fett.

It carried some guards and prisoners, so there's room for crew.

It was also used by the Azzameen rivals in X-Wing Alliance, the Viraxo. This would give us another title: the Enkidu, and also some pilot options.

The Slave II had a rear torpedo arc and upgraded maneuvering thrusters. The title would possibly give you more green maneuvers.

The Enkidu was seen planting illegal goods, so an illicit slot and a 0 maneuver aren't out of the question.

As a Slave II you'd be stuck with a third iteration of Boba Fett as a pilot, while he also will exist as a crew card. That is a bit much.

The Viraxo however would be feasible.

Since the Empire was more than kinda hostile towards Fett by the time he has this ship I could see this being a Rebel ship.

Nah it's the one where the sister goes EVA and you have to shoot down spacetroopers.

I think you're mixing up star wars with the end of evangelion.

Considering that the Empire "doesn't need their scum", yet we still got Fett in an Imperial Firespray, I'd call that completely delusional.

The only faction that really used that was the mandos if I'm not wrong. Which means if it does happen it would be a scum ship seeing as how the faction is represented by the mando logo :P It's just not a ship I'm dying to see honestly. I forgot what was Slave III and Slave IV? Fett ended up using Slave I anyway from what I remember - the rest were ships used in the mean time while Slave I was being rebuilt after some major damage.
