Hey guys,

Just curious if you are allowed to play duplicates on setup. I am having a hard time finding a clear answer in the rules.

"Setup", Rules Reference Guide p 19-20

Additional copies of unique cards may be placed

in setup at no cost, and revealed as duplicates in

the following step.

So a Lady-in-Waiting cannot be used as a duplicate during setup, correct?

"Setup," RRG., p. 20:

"Note: Cards are not considered to have been marshaled, played, put into play, or to have entered play when they are revealed or announced in setup, and card abilities that reference those terms are ignored during this step. These cards are considered “already in play” when the game begins."

Since Lady-in-Waiting says she can be marshaled as a duplicate, and card's aren't marshaled during setup, her ability doesn't work during setup.
