Ruthlessness question

By nikk whyte, in X-Wing

When firing on an epic ship, how does ruthlessness work? Can you damage the other half? Can you damage ships at range 1 of the other half?

it specifies THE SHIP.

so huge in whole.

You can't derp fore and then Ruthless-derp aft.

when firing a ship near the huge,

If the effect is in range to damage both parts, choose 1 of them, if only in proper range of Aft, only aft gets DERP'd

A Raider or a CR-90 is still only one ship, even if it has two cards. So yeah, you can target anything within range of all of it, but you can't damage the other half. Or at least, that's how I understand it.

Assault missiles sets a different precedent, triggering on one base only, as a TO, I'd rule that it's R1 oh the hit section only, and must be another ship

Mara jade looks with huge suspicion.

#1 crew for the raider is not impressed

Asault Missiles
If a huge ship is attacked by Assault Missiles, which damages all ships at
Range 1 of the defender, the player measures range from the
targeted
section
. The huge ship’s other section does not suffer damage in this case.

As ruthelessness has the same effect it goes the same way.

Mara Jade is a completly different thing.
