FFG's 'To-Do' List collaboration for X-wing

By ForceSensitive, in X-Wing

Scum: what about Vizago and his ship? Azmorgan has one of the same kind, so they could get two rebels characters in with one release.

Edit: Nvm, you already listed his ship. But you could add those two to the scum pilot section.

Prolly need to add Ark Angel to the list too, if you're looking at Large ships from comics.

The supposed bad guys never doing anything wrong

How do you mean by that? Which bad guys are you talking about? (Note: I think I agree, just curious on your reasoning)

I'm taking about the Seppies, of course. Most characters that act immoral in those movies (regardless if it's deliberate evil or simply sloth and incompetence) are Jedi.
completely agree. In watching the Clone Wars I'm not exactly sure why the Separatists would truly be bad guys, if not for Palp and Pals. Then again, if not for P&P, there was no plot so they were obviously bad guys right from the illegal blockade.

Because Confederacy was actually good.

Why bring everything under direct orders? Systems are free to come and go!

Why send people to the battlefield slaughterhouse? Droids are the way!

And they had Christopher Lee. that kind of makes them awesome from any point of view.

Also needs a Boba Crew and a Jabba dual crew.

Gotta admit, when it comes down to the N1, I'm in the "OMG PREQUELS SUX" category. Every time one would be fielded, I couldn't help but think think "Now this is podracing!" and run from the table screaming.

You mean like Kevin McCalister in Home Alone?

Such a strange reaction to otherwise mediocre films. Surely most people would be able to seperate the ships from the source material. But maybe not since this seems to be the default reaction for SW fans these days.

Ebon Hawk and HK's... yeah its OLD but the tech hasn't changed much...

The N1 is the low point of PT ship design. It's almost as if the designer wanted it to look like a pod (because pottery) before considering any artistic or technical choices that go into making a ship. It's hard to separate a ship from the source material when it's only purpose in the movie was to mirror an earlier canyon scene but in spess. That's right, the only purpose of the yellow banana with two balls attached to it is to deflower and enflame a giant, mechanical ****** (complete with a flora of driods), while compying an earlier sequence from the same movie and reducing a classic scene from ANH to its most basic elements.

It's not hard to dislike the N1. In fact, it requires no effort at all.

Lots of additions in such a short time. Hard to keep up. I love me some Ebon Hawk. But I'm not sure we'll get one due to its canonical age. Hoping one is just sitting around in a spaceport in TFA. I'll put it on but I'm not holding out to much hope.

They could just make a not_ebon_wawk and call it corellian freighter or something. Better yet, they could make a a modular freighter that can be assembled in several ways, one of which happens just happens to look like the hawk.

The N-1 could be a chance to make a solid all around ship like the x-wing was supposed to be, [...]

Are you saying that you want the N-1 to fully replace the X-Wing in the X-Wing game?

At one point Count Dooku (Christopher Lee) even told Obi Wan that he, the Count and separatists, aren't the real enemy. Then they just move over it. If it wasn't for Papatine there might not have been a separatist movement. But that is what brought him to power. Kind of self-fulling really when you think about it.

The Imperial ship list is looking mighty short with only one entry, TIE scout and avenger are starting to look good.

If the TIE Scout was ever released I hope it is a mission specific ship. If its point cost makes it competitive with fighters that would be very lame in my opinion.

Why does the OPs list have a bunch of Legends only stuff when he specifically said new Canon only?

Honestly, I see the "special forces" TIE handled by an "Aces pack" approach and maybe a title.

That's how they SHOULD have done the TIE/fo, but didn't. There's no way they won't make the Special Forces TIE it's own model as well.

Why does the OPs list have a bunch of Legends only stuff when he specifically said new Canon only?

Because it's easier to create new threads andduplicate content than it is to search for and contribute to existing, comprehensive threads?

Yeah, I thought I'd been typing legends too much. In my defense, I did state 'as much as we can stand' and I also can't edit the original post of the other thread along the same lines which by all appearance is dead, as will this one be in a few weeks, in time to make room for more threads. I'm just trying to keep a positive thread up

Honestly, I see the "special forces" TIE handled by an "Aces pack" approach and maybe a title.

And I've said it before and I'll say it again: just give the Rebels the N1 Fighter. Rebels already used them in Legends, now there's a canon source for it, not to mention that the possibilities for Rebel small-base ships is low. Also, Leia flies one of them, so she can finally join the game as a pilot.

Basically, there's a million reasons why the N1 needs to be added to X-Wing as opposed to the one reason not to of "OMG PREQUELS SUX".

To be fair, that's a pretty ironclad reason. And the N1 is one of the most egregious offenders from the prequel.

"Team, I want you to put R2D2 in the Naboo starfighter!

"But George, the N1 is too narrow, R2 doesn't actually fit..."

"MAKE HIM FIT"

And so we got this:

Ep1-013.jpg

Must of been like the time like ran into the office one day and yelled 'Okay! Here's a plot twist. Luke and Leia are siblings!' And the writers looked at him like,'George, we already had them kiss!' And he said 'All the better!'

As we get closer to the new movie I have to share a great great fear I have. Other than the ships we've seen in the previews, I don't know think we're getting anything else. Like it would make sense to have a second resistance Y-wing equivalent but I don't think we will out we'd have seen some going of it by now. Anyone else thinking the same?

Has anyone noticed that bb-8 gets in poe's x-wing the same way r2-d2 got in the N-1?
