Just got my In Memory of Day

By Windopaene, in CoC General Discussion

I'd do a spoiler file to post on the Geek, but then Hastur and I will do it again at the exact same time like last time.

Some interesting cards. Some that appear a bit weak or pointless. Dreamlands support cards look like they may become necessary with the Enchanted Wood out there making your Terror icons no longer prevent insanity. Take that Cthulhu! But, can the Prize Pistols be played on anyone, or only on Agency characters? I can see that if you played it on a non-agency character, it wouldn't gain the extra icon, but can it be played at all on a non agency character, to use the Action: ability?

Tons of Neutrals again!

Hastur wins the most cards title with 6, (3x 700 steps and 3x 70 steps), adding exhaustion to their list of tricks. Misk gets card draw at the cost of a resource and an attachment. Shub gets a nice card in Back from the dead, (take a non AO character from any discard pile and put it into play, dies when it is day), and some ghoul sac to play from hand cards. Yog gets a Zugx3 card that deals wounds to a wounded character and a location that gives toughness +1. Syndicate gets what appears to be the "useless" card, opponent plays with top card of draw pile revealed + whenever you add a success token to a story, the opponent must draw a card. Milling deck perhaps? One other 3 cost event that lets you discard two non-uniques from an opponent's hand. Agency gets only one card, the Captain, but he's pretty badass. And the aforementioned "Prize Pistols" even though they are neutrals. Cthulhu gets a spell x3 that I can't recall, and something to do with deep ones, which I also can't recall. They were looking ok, but I don't play Cthulhu, so the didn't register any impact with me.

There's another Zoog.

It looks as though the Day/Night mechanic might be starting to have enough purchase to actually be relevant. Other than the enchanted wood, and the hastur card from the TH pack, the Dreamlands still don't look to be fleshed out enough yet. But getting rid of terror icons preventing insanity is pretty solid, and will help my human decks a bit.

Could you please post an exact spoiler with a number of any given card (either 3 or 1 copy)

thanks!

Sorry, don't have time to type that all up right now.
