I´d love for the R2-Q5 to become an Imperial crew

By Holmelund, in X-Wing

Would be interesting to have some sort of repair/regen droid on the Imperial side and this one fits the bill.

Crew slot? And works like rebel R5-D8 astromech?

Action: Roll 1 defense die.

On a "Evade" or "Focus" result, discard 1 of your facedown Damage cards.

Maybe it has to be a 2-slot-crew, so it only would fit/work with the larger ships; like Shuttle or Decimator?

Deci with Isard and this dude might become a nuisance...

Just like Corran and R2D2...

Dude. PTL ACTIONS EVERYWHERE!!!!

I would not mind a repair droid crew for 1 action.

Well, PTL, Adv Sensor and R2D2 is a combo itself.

A COMBO ENOUGH to make E-wing usable! ^_^

Nah, we don't need no stinking regen! :)

I prefer to see the game balanced around rebel regen, rather than replicating it across factions...

That's not to say I wouldn't like to see some imperial droids running around the place!

It is Disney now so, WE WANT MOUSE DROIDS, WE WANT MOUSE DROIDS!

Nah, we don't need no stinking regen! :)

The game is balanced around rebel_everything, sometimes seen in other factions ^_^

Reading his Wiki, I think the interessting parts are spy devices, hidden gun and hyper drive co- ordinates.

So either some kind of:

saboteur/ intell agent mechanic.

A one time shot in the action phase.

A one use, then discard action movement, like a 4 forward move, somehing that could just blast a lambda forward, to get behind enemy lines.

And yes we need a mouse droid for epic to.

I'd be half tempted to make him more-or-less an astromech droid. The shuttle does see table time, but essentially only as "the place Vader/Palpatine sit whilst they do stuff".

Making it useful as a ship in its own right, and actually seeing the named pilots on the board requires an increase in its manoeuvrability - specifically some potential to make hard turns more than every other turn.

I do love the mouse droid AT-AT commander from Robot Chicken....

isn't mouse droid a real-sized Dune Crawler xD

It was not to replicate the Rebels. It was because it fits the lore for the droid.

Any of it´s other abilities would be cool as well :)

i kind of like the idea of having a cheap crew that i could jettison out of the ship at the benefit of the owner... akin to the Chewy crew... like whoops that laser slipped through our defenses... SORRY DROID BRO YOU GOTS TO GO.

That's why we have Moff Jerjerrod. Sorry Vader bro, you gots to go. Sorry Emperor, you gots to go bro. Sorry me, I gots to go.

I must have missed that.

Cant see why someone deserves a spanking for suggesting a new crew.

I think FFG is trying to give the particular fractions a bit of their "trademarks".

In general: Imperials have more agility (nearly no turrets), while rebels have more shields and regeneration capabilities (and scum can stab into your back)

I think it´s a good separation, so all fractions have still their individual touch. Regenerating imperials would not quite fit

I hope the keep the distinctions. Having all of them blend together take a bit away from the theme of it all. Having said that, shields, regen and turrets are tough cookies to deal with sometimes.
