Campaign Games

By Dale Hurtt, in Battlelore

Anyone playing campaign games that track the army's forces and casualties, uses recruiting, etc.? I've seen some campaigns out there which if A wins go to this scenario, but if B wins go to that. I was looking for something a little deeper.

Thanks,

Dale

Well seeing how your happy with homebrew, follow the link in my signature to download andgrab my homebrew rules (it has lots beyond just campaign rules like 13 races, 20 or so monsters and wyverns too).

The campaign rules have three versions. The first two have random terrain which affects terrain deployment (where each player picks a terrain deployment card depending on the type of land they are on) the third is based on europe so has fixed terrain. Each one will take progressively longer to play (first can be squeezed into a long night, the second a long weekend the third a whole season of gaming.

It doesn't do the each city supports so many troops and the only time troops are lost is if a whole unit is knocked out (if even 1 figure remains in a unit it is at full health the next battle). tried to make the game less about resource management to support an army and more about moving armies around and fighting the climatic battles that settle the fates of nations...

If you like them come back and let me know ;-)

Your work looks really good. I'll have to grab some people and try it out.

Thanks,
