Bossk?

By Bomba101, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

So I'm seeing a common theme among IA and its expansions. They always feature one bounty hunter shown in The Empire Strikes Back.

Core Game - IG-88

Twin Shadows - Boba Fett

Return to Hoth - Dengar

So these are some of the most identifiable Bounty Hunters that were shown on the star destroyer bridge, along with Bossk. So I'm guessing he'll be in the next small box or big box expansion.

The other two were 4-LOM and Zuckuss were the droid and the gand aboard the ship aswell, but no one really knows much about these characters other than the comics. Personally, I would like to see what 4-LOM could do in Imperial Assault.

Would you like to see the last three bounty hunters fleshed out in the game?

I would like to see scum get some units that make it competitive rather than a parade of named guys who dont have decent support.

^This.

We have time to see our bounty hunters. In the meantime, we need more units. Gamorrean Guards anyone?

I think Gamorrean Guards would naturally have the protector ability, and probably high health like the wookies. Slow though.

If we were to get more named bounty hunters, I think Greedo and 4-Lom would do well as cheap support dudes at a 3-4 point cost.

The assassin droids and the wampa are a start though. Too bad the assassin droids are locked away in a big box, otherwise bringing 3 groups of them would maybe be a good backbone for a skirmish list.

The assassin droid definitely look good and nice, but is very very squishy and quite expensive too.

The Wampa and Bantha pack some heavy HP for the cost though. I'm very curious if the Elite Wampa is going to work out. It seems it won't roll a surge very often unless it is focused, but 2x Red with +2 Damage in itself is quite a punch!

The assassin droids, in my opinion, are the first viable shoot and run characters. An average of 7 accuracy every shot is insane.

Therefore, I ordered 2 ...

You can get more when they release a separate HK-47 expansion later!

A boy can dream...

They should. I think ffg should release villain packs of everything in a big box.

Definitely. I expect they will, in time.

Does anyone know of they did so for Descent?

Descent has different rules. there is no skirmish and a "monster group" is defined as one type of monster on the board. Therefore if you have Ettins, for example, the card limits you to one master one minion. If you select another Ettin card you are still constrained by the first card's group limits. I have a descent group and we all have a copy of the game and all expansions so this actually came up rather quickly and is discussed in the core rule book.

Its not really a choice of one or the other. So far each expansion has given us a named villian and non-named figures for both factions. I don't see that trend ending anytime soon.

It kinda is. they only release so many figures per wave and scum is not a viable faction as of yet. So if they did gamorean guards or twilek insurgents or duros freedom fighters that gave scum a niche in the game it would be better than getting high cost named characters who just punch different.

The game really needs a scum big box expansion.

Except we get both a named character AND a group deployment card each boxed set. In fact, its currently more common to get a group deployment card than it is a named character. So I don't understand what you are complaining about.

1. I'm not complaining about anything.

2. I would like to have, say 2 non elite trando hunters, without having to buy a second core set, i.e. having the option to buy villain packs for everything in a big box.

3. Scum is not very competitive at present in skirmish. I would like to see that change so I can play a Boba Fett list and have a shot a beating 4x4 or Rebel Blast.

If that is too much to digest feel free to ask as many questions as need to fully understand my point.

The TC was asking "Would you like to see the last three bounty hunters fleshed out in the game?"

You replied with

I would like to see scum get some units that make it competitive rather than a parade of named guys who dont have decent support.

This implies that you would rather see no named deployment figures rather than named villians. Though I'd like to add there is no reason why a named villian can't be 'decent support'. But back on topic, your reply to the TC implies that we don't get a named villian AND a group of no-named deployment figures in each box, where as we DO. So there is no point in saying something like "I'd rather get gamorean guards instead of Bossk." when we most likely will get BOTH in a box expansion. In fact, we are actually more likely to get the 'gamorean guards' since FFG releases non-named figures in small packs as opposed to named villians who are only released every box expansion.

Does that make sense to you? Or do I need to spell it out?

And I would like to see scum get some units to be competitive rather than a parade of named units. Not rocket science.

Bye Felicia.

And why can't we get named units that are competitive? Not rocket science.

EDIT: you know what? Nevermind. You're either A) a troll refusing simple logic, B) too stupid to understand simple logic, or C) both.

Lol woah this got intense. Last I checked this thread it was just 2 posts, now it's a bunch of arguing. It's such a stupid thing to argue about too lol

As the game grows I see Scum lists being "creature heavy smack down" or "brawler buddies" and finally "the ESB bounty hunter group. 4-lom being an anti 3p0 of some sort, handing out debuffs.

Anyway guys, about that scum big box expansion, I've noticed another trend. Each expansion loosely corresponds with an OT movie.

Twin Shadows- A New Hope. Tatooine, Star Destroyers, the only big difference was time period and Boba Fett as a main villain.

Return to Hoth- The Empire Strikes Back. Hoth is one of the most memorable planets from the film. Once again the only difference is Time Period.

? - Return of the Jedi

People could say Tatooine is also apart of Return of the Jedi, but the scenes from Tatooine mostly involve Jabba the Hutt and the scum theme. They might choose something closer to Endor, or they might choose this. We'll see.
