Wondering what your thoughts are for scum not having any YT pilots. In theory, I don't see a reason for them not having any, as lore-wise they're ships that have been used for smuggling activities.
YTs for scum
The idea gets brought up fairly regularly. Give them time, scum only just came out recently, in 3-4 years, once scum has a stronger identity on its own they will probably add in mire crossover ships.
A common line of speculation is that a scum 1300 will have the ORS stats for all its pilots, avoiding the 3 dice turret problem and differentiating the scum version from (most of) the rebel version.

If it's 2 dice, it's nowhere near useful.
Especially now with autothrusters and tons of free tokens\regen everywhere.
why breed completely useless rulesets?
To put epic cards for other ships into those blisters?)))
Kind of reminds me of a "get a predator" Defender
or a "C3PO crew member here!"
Edited by Warpman2 dice is much more useful since they will cost a lot less as well. There is a whopping 15 point difference between Outer Rim Smuggler (who I feel is over priced anyway) and Chewbacca. A 15 point Millenium Falcon title that increases your base fire power to 3, hull to 8, and shields to 5 and adds missiles to your upgrade bar and adds evade to your action bar solves that issue. this way your cheap pilots will all be in the 20 - 30 points range if all you need is the 2 crew + ept upgrades on a relatively durable space frame. It would be interesting if they gave disruptive buff/debuff abilities to the pilots - like those on the HWK or Latts Razzi for example - it is afterall a freighter.
No thanks. I would rather the factions not share too many ships.
While I'd love to have Scum Han/Lando/Chewie, it'd still be a hard sell to get me to buy a new Falcon, and if those pilots weren't part of it I'm not sure I'd really have any interest at all.
As a scum player I don't want that kind of scum in my scumy scum scum faction.
The filthy rebels can keep them YT's
Scum
Rebel scum are not supposed to be mixed with The Glorious Mercenary race.
Merc outer heaven all the way!
But Mercs could have the Kiera or Solar flare YT-1300's
first one being the uber-durable "sensors, both types of droids" AI shenanigan
the other being boosting heavy armed one with horned PS8 pilot
From memory, the arguments against YTs in Scum are:
The Millenium Falcon is an iconic Rebel ship (in spite of its' origins and EU material) and the look of the ship is therefor Rebel iconic.
Mixing the ships dilutes the uniqueness of each faction (Most Wanted ships being an exception to kick start the faction)
The argument for YT in Scum is basically Han was a smuggler and EU smugglers used YT-1300s so it's perfectly valid to have them.
As you can imagine, no consensus is ever reached as to whether or not the existing YTs should appear in Scum ![]()
Personally I agree with the 2nd argument for not having the YT-1300 or 2400 in Scum; I'd prefer to see different ships in each faction and hope that the crossover is limited to Most Wanted.
Having said that, there is argument for the YT-2000 to show up in Scum thanks to Emon Azzameen appearing as a Firespray pilot. I'm not familiar enough with the X-wing Alliance game (I think) to care about the Azzameen name or the YT-2000, but it seems like a reasonable alternative.
I kind of like the idea of playing Scum as a mix of private businessmen working together for a common profit over uniform looking force.
Edited by avaktorFunny thing is that if there will ever be a 2400 for Merc faction...
it'd still be an Outrider xD
