Has anyone played around with Dash partnered with an R5X3 equipped ship? It is a one time trick but..... fly where they can't and either force them to disengage or follow and take their beating on the rocks. Any viability?

I equipped R5-X3 on a named Y-Wing with TLT, it wasn't that great.

I think the best use is when you'll get into a situation where you have 2 great options in terms of the shots you'll get, one that goes through an asteroid, and one that doesn't, and your opponent has no idea which you'll take.

That makes sense. As a new player I don't believe I can uncover the next great combo. I simply like to play the ships/cards that I have. In addition, whenever I hear everyone say __________ is bad, no good, underpowered, whatever; I instinctively try to find a way to make it fun, even if sub-optimal.

just remember that when most folks say that "x is underpowered/overcosted", they say that for reason.

shouldn't stop you from experimenting, though!
