Honestly, this is the best attempt we've seen thus far with the thing.
Answer is: Cozlet's got good synergy, and Saboteur is worse than that, but if you want more than just the one source...

the thought crossed my mind, too.
so let's see on what imperial ships we can have a saboteur..
hm. all these ships rather want an action themselves most times.
other than a shuttle -without- EU and no firing arc I can't see a situation where I'd like to use the sab. over another action.. IMO it's still no good choice and highly situational. sadly, as I really like the art and idea.
Edited by WokeUpDeadI still say no in 100pt lists. Fun in epic...maybe...kinda
Wampa, Soontir, and a Patrol Leader with Palpatine have 3 points and a crew slot left over. I don't know that Saboteur is the best use of the points or the slot but it's an option.
'Breath new life'? As in, it ever had any to begin with?

Range restricted, action-consuming CREW slot eating?
No thanks xD
Colzet at least has better range.
Saboteur was born dead. Range 1, consumes your action, and 50% chance of failure built in... At this point, you may as well add 'cut a finger each time you activate it' and it won't cause variations on its usage.
You have to invest so many points, and arrange your list (and the battlefield) in so specific ways to amend all its drawbacks, that the conclusion is always, invariably the same: "Much better if I simply don't use it".
The only times I've seen the card used is when someone is trying to deliberately troll someone else. Just for laughs.

True but WWHSD list at least has the Palp option to guarantee Saboteur being successful.
Talk about area denial against Corran. Poor fella would be terrified to go anywhere near!
The saboteur is a dud. You can use it as a fluff card for cinematic missions but not for anything else...!
The first and foremost problem with Saboteur is that, even if you ignore the cost and action, it really is only good against large ships. Small ships are basically dead by the time they have a single damage card and you'd be better off putting the final damage on them rather than try and get cute to flip them over.
This is also the problem with Rexler's ability.
Saboteur fits nicely in scenario play or Epic.
Sure, you could do something like
To me the short answer is: NO
Wampa is unreliable and Saboteur needs an unreasonably expensive entourage. It's just way easier to get crits through by just plowing through shields and doing them the old-fashioned way. Or even with a Proton Bomb or Vader.
I agree that probably the best way to incorporate Wampa into your list is just slap him in naked, and that's it. If he manages to roll a crit versus a high agility opponent like Corran, Jake, Soontir, sure Wampa them all the way! But against Y- or K-wings alike, just focus for those two ordinary hits.
And be cautious not to lose your arm when fighting Luke. ![]()
the only things that would breathe new life into saboteur
1.) remove the ACTION: requirement
2.) remove the shite RNG
3.) remove the shite RNG + make it an EPT for youngster
4.) #1 and #2
Put Saboteur on a naked Sigma, stay cloaked, fly around and use your actions to flip cards.
you forgot step 4: waste a perfectly good 27 points
and it's "never attack and sometimes flip cards"
Edited by ficklegreendiceSorry Dracon, Saboteur still just isn't good enough for what she does. Were it a one point card, it's still hard to justify on all but a deci with a spare point.
