Playing the Meta, need to fine tune my Poe+BB B/Z/A? List

By orymus, in X-Wing Squad Lists

So I was fairly confident I wanted to run BBB with Poe for this weekend's tournament, but a brief encounter with a good 4 Gold Y-Ying TLT made me reconsider.

My original List was:

3 * Blue Squadron Pilot

1 * Poe Dameron + Crack Shot + Autothrusters

I've been trying to modify this build slightly to increase my chances in the 4X Gold Y-Wing TLT match-up without losing too much in others and couldn't get anything. Best fit I have leaves me with this:

2 * Blue Squadron Pilot + Advanced Sensors

1 Poe Dameron + PtL + BB-8 + Autothrusters (for the 3 actions 'no stress' turn)

1 * Bandit Squadron Pilot

In the 4 Gold match-up, I use the Bandit to block,Focus the Blues and can bump my own Bandit without fear of bumping a Gold and skip an attack or lose an action. This makes for great range 1 position. Poe's action economy makes it easier to get into that range 1, but its also a juicier target.

Thing is, I'm giving up 3 Shields and 1 Hull (4 Life combined) to get there and I feel the TLT match-up is one of endurance. Plus, the Bandit doesn't pack the same punch.

I've considered swapping Blues for Daggers and losing the Adv. Sensors, but getting into that range 1 was a lot more dangerous.

Also thought about losing the Adv. Sensors and replace that bandit for an A-Wing with Autothrusters to help Poe from the rear, but my previous list had an A-Wing + Auto and it did poorly on offense vs Y-Wings (despite its decent survivability).

Thoughts on how I can fine-tune this without hurting my chances against the current meta AND get a chance to down the 4 Gold list? Who should be the filler ships, and what systems (if any) should I put on the B's? Should I upg the Bs for initiative over Ys?

(I'm doing this because I know for a fact there will be at least 2 such lists in this tournament, possibly more).

Green Squadron Pilot + PTL + Autothrusters is 22 points and very resistant to TLTs, because it has AGI3, Autothrusters, and a couple tokens to help. It can also reposition to shoot for range 1. Combined with Poe, you should be good. Against other lists, it will be a solid blocker, and a good harasser. If you've got another point you can give it a 1 point EPT like Wired.

The theory here being that Wired would always trigger because of PTL, and the A-Wing has a crap-ton-of-supply of green maneuvers? Not bad. I only wish I had my hands on Imperial Aces now to get the extra PTL, it's literally the only thing I haven't been able to get from my local store this far...

Thanks!

Edit: On second thought, I'm not sure about wired. PtL could get me 2 actions, and I'm going to assume I'll spend 1 of them on mobility or defense (evade or boost) but the other will be most likely a TL or Focus.

If I have a focus, and can turn my eyeballs to hits, being able to reroll them does me no good.

If I have a TL, I can already reroll pretty much anything I want, so being able to reroll 'only' eyeballs is no good, and not good enough that I would forfeit using the TL altogether to Evade+Boost.

I'm really not sure what the value of Wired is in this context unless it is a followup to a K-Turn attack, which IS circumstancial (and I tend to prefer Crackshot even if it is single-use).

I've been playing GSP (AT,PTL, title, refit, wired) a lot.

He won me a summer kit tourney beating scum 4y tlts in the final match.

Wired is absolutely a no brainer on him. With F+E you're almost untouchable specially out of arc or at range 3, even against multiple attacks. At PS3, you're probably shooting after aces so you can spend your focus on defense, and against lower ps ships you can choose either to reroll your focus if you expect return fire or spend it to maximise your damage output.

If you need to boost, just take TL or Evade as second action (if you are being shot at) and still you can reroll focuses if needed.

Wired is your friend :)

Wired on a PTL A-wing is just crazy. i had a game against three of them today and nothing is more annoying as seing a green squad with autothrusters and an evade token roll 2 evades and an eyeball against a 4 hit HLC shot. He rerolled the eyeball into a blank resulting in a autothrusted evade. And that happened more than once.
