So I got my Wave 2 stuff today, very excited to try it all out. However, Now I'm trying to figure out how to store all of this new goodness, especially the ISD (I mean, I knew it was going to be big, but DANG! Look at the size of that thing!) Up until now I've been storing all my ships in the Core Box and all my squadrons in their own tackle box, no sweat. But with Wave 2 here that's clearly not going to work. Anyone have any good storage solutions yet?

Personally, when looking for storage solutions I like cheap, modular/expandable, and uniform, roughly in that order. I have been using tuck boxes like those done by the magnificent Sir Willibald and love them, but I still need a storage container (or containers) to put them in. For example, this is what I use for all my X-Wing stuff and they are fantastic:

Two cases for $12 and they lock together ad infinitum? Yes please! However, I checked- too small to hold the ISD. The storage cases are only about 2" tall inside, the ISD is about 2 1/4". :\

Anyone found any good storage solutions they like? Especially if it will easily allow for future expansions.

My solution is Harbor Freight Toolboxes with a some modifications. I took their 22" wide unit, added some foam, and built a shelf to create two tiers. Is it the best solution? Maybe not, but it's definitely got me set for Wave 2 and likely into Wave 3. I have a smaller tackle/tool box for the fighters and the ship bases.

Good for thought, I am using the core box and plan on getting a second soon, one for each side. A lot of people give them away or sell them for next to nothing.

I'm waiting for feldherr to make a Wave 2 bag, and then I'm going to send the my monies.

I need to get another case for my way chest. . .

I got mine at Foam Factory (online). I probably can post the exact address once I get home and check my computer. I used 1/2" solid foam as a base with 1" pluck foam above it.

And yes, I am a dog owner (two adorable poodle mixes). Although that cage is my parents. They are trying to downsize and most of those totes and such are their stuff stored in my basement.

Their dogs didn't like cages either... LOL!
