Youngster combos: A poll.

Youngster certainly sounds interesting, but all the current options are rather lacklustre.

I don't see Expose being good at all. I would have no hesitation attacking the 2 agility Tie without defensive tokens over the evading Howlrunner/Youngster. And Tie's would find it difficult to 'get into a safe fireing position' to expose, while also being within rage 1 of Howl AND not being able to use an action to arc dodge AND are likely PS 1.

Expert Handling doesn't really protect against alpha attackers as most target locked ships will have moved before the lock takes place.

Marksmanship suffers due to the Tie's only having 2 attacks, but could be good on some named pilots.

Daredevil would be amusing, and is probably the best option for the generic swam (but still poor IMO). Every ship having a potential pseudo-boost upgrade would have uses.

Squad Leader is just too limited, with little gain.

Probably not competitive at all, but could be fun. Hopefully you can load up all the BSPs with TLs before you get into combat. It will take some careful slow rolling. However, you'll have 3 pretty nice attacks with the BSPs. The shuttle can also throw out decent damage of its own.
I can't believe I made a list with Expose and Col Jendon + ST-321

Some of this looks like it would be fun, but when I really start trying to put it into something that works it just seems that these are doing everything they can to remove the best part of a swarm... more ships. Maybe I've just used TIE Fighters too long in one way, but even though these look exciting, they aren't enough to make me want to buy them so I can break up my swarm monster when I am in the mood to play it. And when my fingers feel steady enough... shaky fingers... the death of the swarm!

Youngster /w Expert handling + mini-swarm and Carnor.

Hmm..
