Impressive. Most impressive.

Really, they look much nicer than mine, but then, I could have probably put in more effort on mine and they still wouldn't have looked have as good. Bravo! Those look truly awesome.

Now just 6 or 8 more firesprays and you're ready to go :)

Did you paint Chewie in the cockpit? :D

If I zoom in enough I'm pretty sure I see a brownish blob.

I decided the first pack would be all of the heroes, so I painted them up "right". Now I gotta figure out how to paint up the non-heroic characters.

Nice work Steve, what paint did you use on Hound's Tooth and Moldy Crow? I'm looking at my paints and I'm not finding a good choice.

For the Hound's Tooth I used Vallejo Beige Brown. That seems to match the X-Wing model pretty well. For the Moldy Crow, I used Hull Red, and it's FAR too dark. Flat Earth or Cavalry Brown or something would've been much closer.

Would be cool to see a video of how you did this. It just feels like not enough of your free time is dedicated to entertaining us ;)

For my non-heroes I'm going to paint a base coat of darker gray for empire, and white for the rebels, then give each squad a black wash. Simple and fast and the heroes will stay distinct, as they should. Shouldn't take more than a couple of hours. I went overboard on the R&V packs so I'm keeping mine simple.

One of the guys at my FLGS did just a simple black wash on the Falcon and it looked amazing. I think what you did here is pretty awesome. I'm looking forward to putting some paint on mine.

I'm pretty sure rogues and villains will be the first time I spray the ships before I sharpie them. Think they will need a coat of white to get the yellows and browns to come through properly.

This may be a dumb question, but what type of paint did you use? Acrylic will peel of won't it?

Acrylic will only peel if the surface isn't prepared correctly and if the paint is applied too thickly.

A Dash of primer is more than enough. If you want to go overboard, then Clean the models first with a touch of warm water and then dust a prime.

Most of the hobby paints out there are Acrylics. Really these days, Testors are the remainder of the Enamels, and they are the ones that need more prep and practice to use effectively :)

Thanks for the tips!
