Playing on actual terrain tables, anybody?

By exinfris, in X-Wing

Was just wondering if anyone has played on tables using actual terrain such as a Hoth, Endor, Bespin, or say Curoscant table?

Would love to see some pics and rules for that type of setting.

It's on the burner dude.

On the burner.

I picked up a swamp front line gaming mat recently for use with some other war games but it could make for a forest world with some tree's on it.

This isn't the first time I've seen X-wing played "on the ground". But it is the most impressive one I've seen. I saw another variation as well involving an orange table cloth and instead of asteroids there was large clumps of cotton wool. Welcome to Bespin!

i would love to see some sort of cloak style effect for being in clouds. yeah i know the fancy sci-fi computers would not be bothered by some clouds but i think it could be fun anyway..
