Just wanted to check the hive mind to see if everyone else is experiencing the same thing.

I run the weekly X-Wing night here in Brighton (UK), and am planning on running 1 or two Winter Kit tourneys along with a Store Championship.

Unfortunately, it appears that the kits are delayed due to "Licensing issues".

Until that resolves, I won't be posting dates for the tournaments, as I don't want to have a store full of people with nothing to play for.

Full disclosure, I don't run the store, just the X-Wing nights, so I can't offer up store credit.

Just wanted to sense check the community and see if other people around the world are experiencing the same problem?

That's a bummer. I'm sure a lot of people would still like to play, even without prizes. Have you brought it up it the the store owner about store credit as prizes?

Same here in the Netherlands. We had a Winter kit tournament last week, the prizes will be mailed to the participants once in. The summer kits were also delayed here and didn't arrive until September I think.

We have a tournament coming on Dec 12th and will likely do the same and store throws in some other random stuff. Maybe a few of the new Poe Alt arts we got

I know there were "licensing issues" with the x-wing kit but does anybody know what the issue is. I find it odd that FFG can announce what's in the kit but then have licensing issues. You would think that before FFG announce anything that the contents of the kits were approved. My guess it has something to do with the art

It can honestly be something as simple as LFL not getting back to them in a timely manner.

They have an imminent movie release that promises to be one of the biggest ever, so they are quite busy with the day to day of that. And unfortunately, whIle we may be the biggest table top game at the moment, the sales pale on comparison to the sales of toys and other Star Wars merchandise. X wing probably isn't a high priority on their marketing train.
