I DO get the need/want for the Imperial Assault Gunboat and the Skipray Blastboat. All through the 90s (and into the 00s), these were considered pretty prominent starships. Lots of folks remember the X-Wing/TIE Fighter PC games fondly, and most everyone still respects the Thrawn trilogy.

As for me? Yeah, I'd definitely like that gunboat. I'd also like for the Rebels to get some more Y-Wing options (since there aren't that many starfighters left for them ... even in the EU). Rebellion Y-Wings deserve EPTs, additional astromechs, and bombs! A Y-Wing Aces pack would fix this issue.

The T-Wing, H-Wing and V-Wing have all appeared in the Stay On Target supplement for Age of Rebellion.

But the Avenger was the worst part of TIE Fighter~

I mean, why would you take perfectly good bomber-style panels and cut ugly chunks out of them. It works for the Interceptor because of how sharp the angle is, but the nearly 45-degree angles on the Avenger panels are just gross with cutouts. Heck, the older versions of the Defender have the same problem, and I'm glad FFG picked the better design.

So, a lot of us have speculated on wave 9, and I've also heard some interesting theories that we won't see any more EU ships. Personally I think this is hogwash, and after being in a discussion involving syck I realized: Galaxies has a whole slew of Fighters and large ships that have not been included yet. So here goes.

I've no idea how to add a poll on these boards.

I don't know what we'll get, but I know what I want. A scum Citadel Cruiser packaged with 2 "fixed" Sycks. Now that we have the deployment rules I predicted 3 years ago, the Citadel would be an amazing scum support ship. But it's just wishful thinking.

I would really like to see the Cloakshape fighter. More so than any other ship at this point.

TIE Avenger because it's objectively the coolest looking TIE variant. Interceptor is cool, right? Well what if the Interceptor was pointy forwards /and/ backwards? Two times as cool. And don't even give me that **** about it having no role in the game. We have a ship that's literally 4 TIE Bombers at once now, and the prototype to the TIE Advanced. I think an Interceptor with a few more shields at ~24-25 points is fine.

Assault Gunboat because it's a sweet looking like the Lambda. The Lambda is a cool looking ship, looks like something out of 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Fixed that for you. Tipperary is right about those angles. it is one of the many TIE designs that make me go 'meh', because it is not really interesting and I don't have any emotional connection to it, since I didn't play TIE Fighter until very recently. Being pointy both forward and backwards makes the thing look worse, not better. The Interceptor looks fast because of how the design "flows" (boy does that sound stupid, but I hope you guys get what I mean) to the front, the Avenger loses that.

I wouldn't mind it being in the game, it is an alright design, but it is nothing special.

Simple version: triangles are more aggressive than trapezoids, doubly so when (moronically) using the side of the trapezoid as forward.

Stormtrooper Transport for Empire

Because it has made numerous appearances in Star Wars Rebels

Gozanti for Scum and Villainy

Again, seen it in Rebels (or I think it was a variant Gozer) that looks different enough from the Empire version to be an entirely new ship. Though, as I've said elsewhere, I'd prefer Action IV to be the scum "transport/support" ship. But the variant Gozanti looks cooler.

Also, game wise, what does the Avenger offer, that the Defender cannot do?

The avenger has, according to the always circumspect wookipedia: a tractor beam, 4 laser cannons and a missile system.

Any design space that the avenger could occupy could be handled by the First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter, with added bonus of taking up the design space of the suppressor.

The Tallon roll does give it a definite niche, I agree (at speed 2, though). Doesn't stop it from being ugly, though I guess FFG has saved worse models before (looking at you, Mist Hunter).

I guess it's more that I want some non-TIE Imp small ships, period. We've gotten what, 9 TIEs and no non-TIEs except for the larges? High time for something different.

Honestly, his version just makes the other problems more apparent, especially the awfully-cut transition from the cockpit ball to the struts, which is SO much nicer-looking on the standard Advanced.
