The M3-A Scyk can not be fixed!!!!

Our local Advanced fan tried them but then reverted to correctors.

Because it leaves them free to focus or evade.

Only Vader and Juno he uses take X1+AdvComputer

FAQ Heavy Scyk to read 'also adds one hull'. They do it for all sorts of other cards, like totally changing how decloaking works and limiting technicians. So why not? Can FFG do that only when it nerfs a card?

I'm guessing that the Scyk will get some sort of upgrade in either the first Scum Huge ship or Scum Aces. Right now, there is no point in taking a Scyk over a Z-95, the title costs too much to make the Scyk a point-efficient cannon boat and the Headhunter's extra hull and firepower more than make up for less agility. I don't think the fix will be one that adds hull/shield, more likely it will either reduce point cost or add in some sort of defense bonus like an auto-Evade token after a barrel roll. We shall see....

It's a less maneuverable TIE fighter.

I agree that the +1 hull along with the 'heavy scyk' title would fit thematically and make it more viable.

In addition, I would like to see a 'light scyk' title: when you perform a white or green manoeuvre, you gain a free evade token. Probably zero points is reasonable, but maybe 1 point (because no cannon or extra hull).

That way, both versions of the scyk work as intended!

Or make the title read 'and' instead of or and all the sudden you can have all three types of secondary weapons. Now you can take a Scyk with prockets and extra munitions and maybe do some good stuff before you blow up. Or fly straight and blow up on the first round.

Really paying 2 points for a missile upgrade only, when the Z takes em already and has one more shield?! They were introduced in the same wave, wave 6! FFG should have known what they were doing!

So far there's nothing making me want to buy this ugly bug shaped ship except maybe the possibility to convert it into an Eta-2.

Give it a title card that reduces it's cost by 1, add an illicit slot and maybe boost (for auto thrusters)

I think the best fix for the interceptor is a title that gives it autothrusters, without giving it a boost. -2 points on a cannon is too much, you could fit 5 hlc scyks in a 100 point list that way, upping one to the named one that allows you to reroll evades...

I'd enjoy a scum only upgrade that reads

Reduce your primary weapon value to a maximum of 0. For every red dice removed, gain 1 shield token.

Pretty solid mod on a Hwk, Scyk and Ywing depending on what you want the Ywing to do.

If only it could have an illicit slot as well as a torpedo, then we could have relatively cheap 2 shot hot shot blaster ship. But the that's still piling on lots of cost to a 3 hp ship.

The Advanced was heavily flawed and the title corrects that. Why not take it? The same with t-65 and IA, I'm sure everyone will take a one point virtual shield upgrade. When there's a fix, a real fix, then it's autoinclude.

Heavy "Scyk" mod II. Your upgrade bar gains the cannon, torpedo, or missile upgrade icon and adds one hull. +3 points

Actually yeah that's on point.

See the little cancer bulbs on the top? Boosters. Unless you flew a TIE, SWG made sure your ship's upgrades were visible.

I think the issue is that they REALLY did not want it to be possible to field a list with 5 heavy laser cannons.

Note to self: playtest a list with 5 HLC scyks against a normal squad.

They're Scum Ties with shields: I never saw the issue.

My buddy in Scum is actually planning a Scyk swarm with piles of rockets to counter heavy two, or three-ship squads.

It involved Serissu, several heavy Scyks, the Thread Tracer, and a lot of Cluster Missiles/Prockets.

In all honesty, The Scyk should be better than the Z-95, as only one of those two ships is exclusive to Scum.

That said, I really don't think it's an awful ship. People used to say the HWK was bad- but seriously they were just running it wrong. Hell, they still do.
