Hey all. I've been mulling a character concept for F&D for a while now but in order for it to work the character needs Grapple Guns. I was wondering if/in what book these are in and how exactly they work ingame.
Grapple Guns
I allowed my player who wanted the same, to have a wrist mounted weapon that does nothing but shoot a grappling hook. Ranged Light skill to use, can pull up to character's encumbrance, to medium range.
I was sure they would add to the diplomat book the naboo guards grappling gun, but they didn't.

From the description I kind of imagine it like the things Padmé and her team use at the end of Ep 1. Firing is an action (average difficulty, Ranged Light), reeling in is a separate action (but only requires a skill check if the user is also holding another person, which needs an average Athletics).
I feel ashamed, how have I missed it

Thanks for the info. Hmm reeling is an action eh? Well that sort of crushes my plan. Was hoping it was a maneuver. Back to the drawing board it is then.

enhance force leap can get you medium range as a manuever
Draw Closer and Hawk Bat swoop are other alternatives.
