BSG fighters in x wing

I still like this idea. BSG would be perfect as a stand alone game. X-Wing lite, without the worry of waves and expansions.

Take the Force Awakens core set, swap out the T-70 for a Viper and the TIE/fo's for two Cylon Raiders.

If you were going to limit the game to those two ships, what mechanics and upgrades would you roll over from X-Wing?

Which ship is "more durable" and which is "more maneuverable"?

There's not a huge amount in it, but the Vipers are probably slightly more maneuverable while the Raiders are probably slightly tougher. However, the Vipers were almost always facing the superior numbers.

Which makes for an interesting reversal of the standard X-Wing Core Set formula; Instead of having one tough, dangerous ship facing two nimble but less dangerous fighters, we would have one nimble, dangerous ship facing two tough, less dangerous fighters. Which might make an interesting balance.

I'm thinking an action that, at least on certian maneuvers, lets the Viper perform a talon roll/kturn at inititive, kinda like the shadowcaster's turret action.

The cylons dont, but have a 180 firearc to start with.

If your ship is the last remaining friendly ship, spin wildly in all directions while firing. Remove all other enemy ships from the table.
