What's everyone doing with their k wings?

Just bought one and I really like the diverse options it presents. How are you flying yours? What works, what doesn't?

Navigator on Doni so she can arc-dodge. Just love it.

Weapons Engineer on Warden Squadrons almost makes ordinance usable.

I enjoy flying Miranda a good bit. However, I don't like to load her up with bombs and such as some seem to do. I run Miranda with Twin Laser Turret and C-3PO and call it a day. She's 38 points and makes for an awesome, survivable support ship that leaves a lot of room for you to fill out the rest of your list.

Warden + mines and nets + Advanced SLAM is a hilarious ace killer.

and a Chardaan proto pilot as blocker filler.

Bombing runs are epic. and evil.

After killing Vader with 1 shot from Miranda with a Homing Missile I now all ways want to put one on her

Mine went to mothball after it got errata'd, only reason I bought it was SLAM bombing

2x Warden with EM, Bombadier, Conner Net, Seismic Charge and Adv Slam.

1x Warden with TLT and Recon Specialist

Lots of fun and a little variety in builds.

Miranda with TLT plus either tactician, C3PO or Recon Specialist. A really good start to a list in my opinion, and might in fact be my favorite ship at the moment. The range-1 primary turret with the option of adding a die really makes a difference sometimes.

you put it on a shelf because all you needed was extra munitions and two TLTs for your Mercenary Y-wings!

Funny, I just finished painting this one up tonight for some tabletime tomorrow :)

I used mine once. Since then it's been sat doing nothing.

I fly her with tlt and r2-d2. I add the the adv slam mod as well, so I can aquire a tl for my attack next turn. The tactic I play is this: after movement, am I in the enemies arc? If yes, slam. If not, what range of them am I in? Range one, remove a shield and throw 4 dice into their face. Range 2-3, tlt. Regenerate with tlt as needed. I run her with poe and that one headhunter pilot who gives out free actions (can't remember his name lol). Only 3 ships, but all pilot skill 8. Poe survives with ptl/bb-8 shenanigans and miranda survives with slam/shield regen. Headhunter goes down fairly soon, but he gives out some free actions and acts as a bullet sponge before he does so worth it.

Why not do both? Took that exact Miranda and a Warden/Prox/Conner bomber on the weekend, backed by a Grey Stresshog. If only my last opponent would roll as well for the Prox mines as he did shooting my Y wing and Miranda...

Same here, used right they're very good ships.

Edit: And they were never errata'ed or changed. SLAM was always going to work like it does. The only reason anyone thought otherwise was because of an article that had a mistake in it. The actual rules never changed.

No.

Gunner only lets you shoot with your primary, which if you have the TLT isn't what you are using much. Plus it only lets you make one more shot that turn, which you can already do with the TLT.

So with gunner you'd have to miss with your 2nd shot, and then have a target in your front arc.

the K-wing is four things

1.) Warden with Advanced Slam, Extra Munitions, Conner Net and Intelligence Agent + optional fluff (autoblaster turret, seismic charges)

it absolutely ruins aces/fat-ships and, if the meta were still only two ship, would be the undisputed king/queen of the table

pair with three blue squadrons and have fun

2.) TLT Miranda with C3po

an awesome late game carry that is basically what you get if Han solo required actual thought to play

3.) TLT Miranda with C3po and bombs

more thought, helps counter pursuing swarms that she cannot take out alone if too significantly outnumbered

4.) Warden and Miranda with TLT + Tactician

What? The k-wing can absolutely gunner if it misses both TLT attacks. It's got full turret coverage at all ranges. Miranda can even fire twice, miss, and spend a shield to bump it's attack up for the final shot. It's expensive, and probably not the best option, but it works as advertised.
