Help me with my squadrons 400 pts

By HERO, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

With some adjustments on the original fleet comp that I have here , I've decided to look into other squadron options.

Fact of the matter is, we don't have Rogue Bombers like the Imperials and we're kinda limited in our squadron choices if we're to run heavy battleship builds.

My current layout of ships look like this:

[ flagship ] MC80 Command Cruiser (106 points)
- Admiral Ackbar ( 38 points)
- Home One ( 7 points)
- Intel Officer ( 7 points)
- Engine Techs ( 8 points)
- Electronic Countermeasures ( 7 points)
- XI7 Turbolasers ( 6 points)
- Leading Shots ( 4 points)
Assault Frigate Mark II B (72 points)
- Intel Officer ( 7 points)
- Gunnery Team ( 7 points)
- Electronic Countermeasures ( 7 points)
- XI7 Turbolasers ( 6 points)
This is not subject to change, as I'm primarily looking for ideas on how to incorporate the most optimal squadron composition into the mix.
The MC80 really likes to have navigate dials in my experience to take advantage of the Engine Techs. I prefer it that way as well, so I'm looking for something a little more autonomous.

Currently, the list has..
+Tractor Beams on the MC80
+Dash
+Nym
+4x YT-2400s
The idea behind that is that the Tractor Beams will kick in on Nym's target so he can stick on them and keep hammering away.

What do you guys think would be a good squadron mix for a 2-ship list like this one?

Have you actually tried this list?

I have.. I actually did Dash, Nym and 4x YTs last night. Why do you ask?

Just curious mostly. The only time I ever ran a two ship list was two vics as a carrier group. It only worked okay and that was when we were all still very new to the game. I shudder to think how behind the activation curve one would be in a 400 point game with only two ships. For now I think Jan, maybe dash, with the rest going to y and a-wings. They are just to cost effective to not use.

Except that he's specifically trying to keep a fighter wing that can be effective without having to drop squadron commands. And while the generic wave 1 squadrons can be effective without, they really are meant to be commanded. Maybe you drop 2 2400's for 3 awings, assuming you have an extra point. Not sure what that list clocks in at as currently constituted and I'm not gonna bother to do the math.

I'm also not really sold on Nym in this list. Switch him with Jan?

You don't need commands to effectively run y wings. You need to pick the right objective, lay obstacles right and plan your turns effectively. You don't need any of that to run a wings either. Just point then at fighter stands and profit

Maybe run something like this?

Dash
Tycho
6 A-Wings
Gives me 8 for a good number, and the 4+3 fleet can squadron activate Tycho and the A-Wings for the alpha strike on Turn 2 while Dash takes care of himself.

So command order will be:

Nav, Squadron, Nav..etc.
