How to fly 200 points imperials (with no large ships)

By Sir Orrin, in X-Wing

So yea, my brother has scum, and He (and I) like running 200 points, because it is fun.

He has pretty much all the scum ships except the Syck.

He really likes running Boba and Bossk, and other ships.

I don't own any imperial Large ships at all.

so for empire. just fighters.

Also, we use a card table, because we don't have a playmat, and it's about 7 inches shorter than the standerd play field.

which means I don't have to much room to arc dodge, which I do alot. ( I like interceptors)

so, and advice? the problem is I'm outgunned, out healthed, and not much room to work with. it's obviously possible, I just need some advice.

I've been playing a lot of 150 point games lately and 914 x 914 is only just big enough without things getting too heavily congested - so any smaller than that with more ships on the board is going to get messy fast.

why not get a sheet of ply or MDF around 914 x 1218 (3ft by 4 ft in old fashioned money) and lay that on the card table

Gotta find a bigger play area. You're pretty much gaurenteed first round shots fired on you in an area that small and as you maneuver, you'd get yourself cornered.

At 200pts ordinance and HLCs will become good investments too.

Yea im hoping to make my own play mat soon ($40 bucks just does not seem worth it)

At 200 points generics and AoEs are epicly powerful.

here your Mary Sue Soontir with free tokens gets eaten for lunch

As many defenders as you can with hlc plus jonus and bombers with assault missiles.
