You know nothing Glenn Snow
Doesn't prove much of anything.
John Snow lives!
Think we could make that a thing like "Frodo lives!"?
GoT will have to work really hard this season to keep me on board. I'm this close to ditching it in favour of the books.

Read the books too!
I wanted to read the books before watching the show (because spoilers?) so I blasted through them the summer before last, and then started streaming and binge-watching the show. The show is great good fun, but the books have so much MORE. It's well worth your time!
And now that the two are more or less caught up on most of the major storylines, it's a fine time to start over with the books!
Of course I've read the books, multiple times even. And listened to the audiobooks.
.
That's why the series is losing me. Especially when I heard the showrunners say they're trying to make it more spectacular each season which is not how you go about making good stories. They are now going for the thrills instead of the tale.

It's all flashbacks.
Pffft
Unless GRRM had a stroke and forgot how to write that boy is alive.
Since I just watch GoT on DVD due to not having any premium cable channels because of child viewing habit concerns and cheapskate gene, you can take this comment with a grain of salt.
GoT is a good show, not a great one therefore I think it is overrated. It gets a lot of hype and much of it is deserved, but it is not all that and a bag of chips. I feel that there are three reasons why it gets blown out of proportion: swords, dragons, and bewbs.
Don't get me wrong. I appreciate that Khaleesi and Cersei have all the right things in all the right places, but the gratuitous and, frankly, unnecessary nudity of the early seasons tended to take more away from the story than add to it. I am glad they toned it down in later seasons. Maybe I am getting old. I have seen enough of that stuff in my life that I don't get all worked up over it.
In case you missed it:
I freaked out the students working in my classroom before class started when I saw it and flipped out.
Some hints there for book readers. Time-traveling trees and whatnot.
