Conjurer's images

By DarthButchbrune, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Hi all,

I read a lot of the posts related to the conjurer's images but I still have a little question related to images and threat tokens : Since Images are tokens treated like hero figures does the Overlord take a threat token when he defeats one?

If I'm not mistaken, the rule is something like " Each time a hero is defeated during an encounter, instead of drawing 1 Overlord card, the overlord may gain 1 threat token".

I can understand that you don't get one when you killed a familiar or a familiar treated as a figurine, since they're not heroes, but what about tokens treated like a hero figures?

Thanks in advance and sorry if it was already answered.

tokens are not true heroes either ! ;-)
So no you get nothing for defeating them... but pride to have less opponents... for the moment ! ;-)

Regarding defeating heroes and getting rewards for it (like cards or tokens) it's only for true heroes nothing else!

the treated as figures / hero figures thing it's the way the conceptors have found so the overlord can do something against these type of new figures : play card on them, attack them, etc...
And also for the heroes to be able to use/help them also.
Because at the time these new figures were created a lot of cards / powers were directed at the heros only, and without this trick no way for the OL to stop them, or the heroes to help them with their powers (the other choice would have to rewrite all the cards !!!... a more difficult choice I think ;-) )

At least this is how I understand it ...

The reanimate is as much a "fake hero" as the images are- they just don't activate- you don't get a threat for defeating either.

Thanks all for the promptness of your answer.
