I haven't seen anything addressing this yet, but my question is, does the TIE engine mk2 upgrade treat boost bank actions as greens? For example if you had another ship with squad leader would the banked boost count as green there fore negating the stress of the K-turn?

Boosts (and barrel rolls) are not maneuvers. They don't follow a lot of the rules for maneuvers and they don't have a color.
Further, if you performed a k-turn and thus have a stress token, you cannot perform any actions. So even if someone passed you an action with squad leader, you wouldn't be able to perform a boost in the first place. (Exceptions for Tycho)

While that doesn't make it any better because the Daredevil was FAQ'd into the poor "white+stress" version.
Good thing our local meta keeps the old wording and doesn't RAW about sequences and all...
The R2 droid (and Nien Nunb) both greenify the Ion maneuver as well, giving you protection from the Ion + Stress control combo.
True Ion+Stress control combo DERPs you for 2 stresses.
Nothing saves you from this except for outside sources like Wingman or new Uber-Wingman TIE\fo
(Or if you're Farlander and eat stress for lunch)
